Just goes to prove that there is very little that's original these days. So much is sampled or remixed from older tracks.

Had a quick look at the set schedule for both events and there's at least 10 acts who will be playing both down here and up in Sydney on the same day. That's a few trips up/down the highway that day. Nail biting stuff if you're an event organiser.

saturday? if so, he's closing stereo sonic sydney Yeah, this Saturday. That'll be why he's on so early here. Afrojack is on at 8pm and Benny Benassi at 9:30pm

He's doing a 2 hour set this weekend at Foreshore, so really looking forward to it. Must have another gig that night as he's set here is from 3pm to 5pm.

Just goes to show us DJ's of more advanced years don't fully understand that loud, boom boom music you young'un listen to. What with all that mixbeating, etc..... lol

Well given he's playing at Foreshore here in Canberra this coming weekend and I'm really looking forward to see his set, I don't think it's to put him down. I would have posted a vid of any other big-name DJ if I thought it was a bit sus them performing so badly.

I also found one David Guetta stuffing up. Apparently he turned off or ejected the wrong CD.

Is it? Didn't know. I thought he was just human.

In the videos I've seen he's not wearing headphones but he's doing some percussion or doing some effects. Sounds like Dj Aero does the proper DJing and Tommy helps out (but no doubt get the headlining and the gals).

Has anyone seen Tommy Lee (ex-Mr Pamela Anderson) DJing? I heard something about it so I checked out a couple of YouTube vids and apparently he usually appears with DJ Aero so I'm not sure if he's actually DJing or just tagging along.

its in my contract, you want extra hours, i get extra pay. Same here. If they want me to extend, it's only if I want to, if they pay me and if the venue allows it. As for the final few songs, depending on the event I get on the microphone and let them know they only have a few left then announce the start of the last song for the night when it comes up. Then as the last song finishes, I simultaniously switch off all the lighting effects. END OF NIGHT!!

A few other questions: Are you registered for GST and therefore including it in your prices? What sort of warranty can you offer? Cheers

I charge $270 for the first 3 hours then $70 an hour after that. But I think it's time to do a ring around of the local opposition and see what their rates are.

If you're looking at the 400's it may be worth checking out the 350's. They have similar features to the 900's and 2000's in that they have the ability to be played off a USB stick ,etc.

I've seen his name on other forums, but didn't really notice how recent the posts were.

Cupe, is it up against a wall? I used to have issues with my desktop at home till I moved it away from the wall so the air could circulate better. Also my case has an LCD panel on the front which shows the tempurature and has a knob to control the speed of the fitted fan. For the desktop in the DJ booth at the club, they have a desk fan blowing onto it whenever it is on.
