Australian DJ's & Music Producers Facebook Group
Funky_Steve replied to Cupe's topic in DJ Headquarters
That's a Fan Page whereas the other one is a group. The group page may be the one that Cupe lost Admin access to. Hopefully when he returns from day-release, he can fill us in on it. Hell! Why not just join both! -

Some of us may be older than most of you too, but I think Fab takes the crown. -

Cupe, When you read this you need to add more to the Admin of this group just in case those faceless people behind Facebook decide to de-register your profile. Or else no one will be able to manage the group. -

Isn't the light stand telescopic? Can't you set up all the lights at the stand's lowest height before extending it to the maximum height?

With nearly 1100 members on here, we should have at least 500 on the Facebook page. Perhaps from time to time mention some of the more interesting threads we discuss on here. i.e. when we have a hot (DJ related) topic. I think the more noise we make on the FB page, the more traffic we will have here. -

Hey guys, I think we really need ot promote the Facebook group more if we plan on increasing ADJF memberships. Any ideas? The wall was last updated ages ago! -
Except you would be using both the audio as well as the video from the Nightlife system. I wouldn't think a club DJ would use their audio.

ANyway, back on topic... My usual answer to this is, "Nah Mate, all I got is shit. I'm only going to play shit music all night." I mean, do they expect a straight answer to such a loaded question??

Your Fleur Ultrawings.

Is that a technical IT term?? Love it! lol

That's what I was thinking too. Surely I'm not the only dumbass out there that doesn't know his Progressive from his Regressive or his Hardcore from his Applecore.

Always had problems trying to classifed the different genres of dance music. What genre would you put Walk the Line by Laurent Wolf? Cheers

don't forget that the zipper pull is made out of a recycled tyre valve.

One of the perk where I currently work is that there is s small stage near the booth and it's nice when a group of girls come and dance in front of you. Not so nice when it's a bunch of guys or anyone with BO (see post above - lol). Not that you notice because normally you are so enthralled in your music to notice anything else (yeah right!). But they are in the process of a reno and I don't know yet where they plan on putting the booth. Hopefully right behind a go-go cage. lol

SHIPFACED FT. Starfuckers & VAMP DJ's sydney harbour oct

Sounds like a pretty cool gig. And I assume you'd be stuck on the boat for the duration of the cruise with those 'minimally clothed' patrons. -
Years ago when I worked for a multi-unit company I used to drive a convertible celica. One night I was playing at an 18th Birthday party at a soccer club where way too many guests had arrived (I think it was advertised at their school and they were charging $5 a head at the door). Not enough security as the club didn't expect the huge turnout and things started getting out of hand. Long story short - cops arrived and shut the party down early. I rung the boss and he said no one could get there to pick up the gear for hours and if I could take it all home. So I packed the amp and my music into the boot, console in the front passenger seat, but had to take the roof down and squeeze the speakers upright into the back seat, side by side. Looked pretty cool but not something I would want to do more than once. Wish I could have wired them up to the car stereo. Would have been cool!!

Sure does. I don't think it does the headphones any good (as they weren't designed for it) but for a one off. And this sounds like it was definetely worth it. Classic Jonny B!

Sec is usually on the other side fo the dancefloor. And it's not alwys the guys. Some girls are worst!
-
And another annoyance in general are patrons who dance neat the booth and have B.O.!! It would be OK if you could get away, but you can't. Your stuck there in the booth and have to put up with it.
