  1. Come dude! Last one we ran was fantastic. Great crowd, awesome music and beers - recipe for ultimate WIN!
  2. Yeh man, for sure!! Be great to put a name to the face. And if you play prog/tech, bring along a demo omg... i dont but i can ps: i live in perth keen to move so if i can score a few nights anywhere on the east coast i'll do it Awesome mate. Just bring it along on the night. If all goes to play we'll be doing a monthly night there, so we should have a heap of spots available. Ask whoever is DJing where im at... wont be far wiked. i'm guna guess you're name is jordan? haha, yeh man, but most people know me better by Jordz. I daresay if you ask around for a "Jordan" no one will know who you mean If you can't find me, wait until my DJ alter-ego "J-Slyde" gets up on the decks
  3. Never done, never will. I've tried in the past, but it shits me to tears not having the full track at my disposal. I see it alot in commercial clubs where there's heaps of McDJs that can't be bothered actually paying for a proper DJ friendly rip.
  4. Now making it even easier to become a "DJ". Buy a laptop, pirate ableton, download set from beatport. BAM!

  6. Here's a little info on Darko! ► The past decade has taken Darko on a path through a wide range of styles and events, from hiphop warehouse parties to clubs packed full of house-loving disco-heads. ► After winning 1st place in the UDJ Melbourne Competition 2010, his latest journey brings him upon the world of the darker rhythms. ► Emerging into the underground scene with a passion for everything funky, dark, hard-hitting and twisted, influences and interests spread across fat progressive and techno soundscapes, to killer breaks and filthy dubstep & drum n bass. His passion for searching out new rhythms brings out the monster in him. Please don’t feed the animal. Check out his latest mix here: http://soundcloud.com/donnydarko/darko- ... ugust-2010 Very much looking forward to him bringing his dark and twisted techno to the decks. Should go down really well in the confines of Loop

  8. The way the other one worked is that everyone was put into a hat and one person per month was drawn at random. They would then compile and record a mix, especially for this occasion, and then post it leaving a whole month for others to listen, critique and discuss. If we all start posting mixes willy-nilly it'll just turn into a free-for-all.
  9. Interview from Donny should be up here soon.
  10. I've heard nothing but good things about them! Anything A&H touch is quality
  11. Check out his set I posted up above. It's awesome! And here's one of him live: http://substance.greyshadows.com/MP3/Mo ... -11-08.mp3

  16. Hot on the heels of their debut event the Prognosis krew are gearing up for their second chapter back at Loop. Smashing the venue sideways and showing Melbourne that there’s a new team on the scene, their first event quite simply, WENT OFF! Partying till the early morn the krew had beats bumping, beers chugging, visuals projecting, lasers lasering and the crowd dancing till close of venue at 5am… And this time round is set to be of no exception! Traveling the country for the last few years Kstati has visually supported some of the largest artists in the world and the best festivals and club nights around Australia. From D-Nox to Nick Skitz, Paul Van Dyk to Infected Mushroom, you name em and there’s a huge chance the man has dropped his visual mark upon them! Starting our inaugural event off with a bang, we will be bringing one of the most popular productions and DJing duo's in trance music, constantly supported by the biggest names in trance including Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Tiesto, Ferry Corsten and more - Germany's STONEFACE & TERMINAL. From the most bitchin', rocking and dirty beats, to some seriously beautiful, melodic trance, Stoneface & Terminal have done it all with a successful career in trance spanning eight years and counting. Henry Nix & Matthias Gierth worked behind the trance scenes early in the game and decided in 2005 to put the main focus towards their own career. What required to get their name propelled into the spotlight was a defining, breakout single, so their first venture to do just that, resulted in two massive hits; "Incognition" alongside Ronski Speed and the Armin van Buuren championed track "Venus", that made it into Armin's A State Of Trance yearly compilation CD for 2006. In October 2006, the “Earth EP” was released with three huge tracks (“Super Nature”, “Another Day”, and “Sidewinder”). The EP became a monster seller, garnering glowing reviews from Germany’s Raveline magazine the UK’s well known DJ Mag, not to mention a number of amazing remixes afterward. In 2007, Stoneface and Terminal wrapped up work on their first artist album “Wide Range”, which gave the perfect window into their musically genre-splicing world, released on Euphonic Records in the summer of 2007. Since these times, Stoneface & Terminal have released fourteen singles & thirty massive remixes, all played by the likes of Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Above & Beyond, Ferry Corsten, Judge Jules, Eddie Halliwell and many more. Their tracks have received consistent airplay on BBC Radio 1 and the Galaxy network with Stoneface & Terminal being nominated for the Beatport Music Awards back in 2008. So come on down, bring some mates, have some bevvies with us and enjoy some rocking beats from some of the best DJ's out there to celebrate our launch event - we're here to rock and/or roll! *VIP tickets include a meet & greet with Stoneface & Terminal, free drinks, private bar, private viewing balcony for the event & more rush@rushproductions.com.au http://www.rushproductions.com.au http://www.facebook.com/pages/Rush-Productions-Events/126090067450622 http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=155154097864196 http://www.twitter.com/rushproductions http://www.stoneface-terminal.de http://www.youtube.com/user/euphonicrec http://www.youtube.com/user/StoneTerm http://www.twitter.com/StoneTerm What's On: http://www.inthemix.com.au/whatson/melbourne/event/63632/Rush_Productions_presents_Rush_feat_Stoneface_Terminal_GER

  19. don't know how true it is, but that's what i heard. they changed the shape so people would stop knocking em off I know down in Melbourne that they are no longer Vinyl friendly size. I swiped a few one morning walking home very drunken... only to find in the morning that they wouldn't fit. A mate speculated that they come in different sizes, but I only needed them for some sorting and selling of old records so didnt bother finding out. Check out Ikea - they usually have some cool plastic boxes that will fit them. Or even Big W/K-Mart! Just take a record sleeve in for measurement
  20. DO IT!!!!!!! Does AusDJ have a pro account on Soundcloud?
  21. Great interview!!! Saw Jase bust it out on Friday @ Prognosis... was IMMENSE! Live AV Laser Set... cant get over how awesome it was
  22. how about we maybe post about the actual topic? 0_o` AUSDJ Monthly Mixes... rekon we could get the mixes hosted on the ausdjforums.com server?
  23. Yeh, that's the idea. It created a huge buzz on the other forum. Heaps of discussion about music in general, and the DJ doing said mix.
  24. So I forum on another music based website which runs a Monthly Mix section where they ask members from the forum to do a mix each month. Pretty much, all of the forumers interested put forth their interest, from there a user is pulled from a hat and they do up a mix. At the end of the month its uploaded and put online with a track list for all to listen. There's no set guidelines on what type of music or how long, etc - just a cool way to get some exposure and have your peers discuss your mix. Just wondering if anyone else thinks this would be a good idea to run on here?
  25. Really love this section. Probably read this interview 3 or 4 times over.. haha
