  1. Congrats mate, will do my best to tune in on Friday then. Good luck with your set!
  2. Yeah, bedroom banging... Or DJing too I spose...
  3. I picked a name that kinda relates to the music that I play. I like mixing trance with really unexpected melodies, that send shivers down your spine at the same time as lifting you up to the heavens..! Bahahaha Stage name is SpooKs by the way...
  4. Now we just wait for someone to ask where the CD goes in...
  5. Was that $1000 all up for the two CDJ's and the mixer? If so, you'll find it a bit hard to get all those features that you're after I think... I reckon your best bet would be to save up a little longer so that you can at least get some decent kit that will serve you well.
  6. What kind of budget are you looking at? I'm a big fan of the 400's, which could suit your use perfectly as they have both USB and MIDI support (so you could use them to control Traktor if you wanted to). As with anything though, it really comes down to personal choice, and the best thing that you could do would be to try a few out and get a feel for them all before deciding. Alternatively, you could invest in some TT's, and join me on the path to financial destruction!
  7. lol, niiiiice... I probably wouldn't be after any new equipment, but I'm pretty sure I could spend the entire jackpot on building an unrivaled vinyl collection! Haha. Either that, or perhaps some lasers and a smoke machine, to really liven up those banging bedroom sets! lol
  8. Excellent, have joined the VIC one
  9. So yeah, finished listening to it.. Would say that you should work a little bit more on constantly monitoring - the beat slipped a bit a few times. Also, try to develop a better sense for what tracks will work together, as it did sound like your track selection was a bit all over the place at times. Otherwise, not a bad job at all!
  10. Hey mate, Yeah, not a bad mix. Your skills are fine, seemed to be pretty tight throughout (only a couple of minor slips, round the 9 minute area for instance). Not really my type of music though, so not sure how much I can help you out haha.. Prob just have to sacrifice your integrity a little to play a mainstream club Good luck!
  11. Anjunabeats, Anjunadeep, Armada... I'm a massive fan of old Gatecrasher releases! Haha My top five artists at the moment (in order): Armin van Buuren Markus Schulz Matt Zo Blake Jarrell Above & Beyond PS. t0rne, if you're the one contributing to Audio Interspace, loving your stuff mate.. Keep up the good work!
