yea hardware definatly faulty! getting a return. the guy hooked it up and yea nothing lights on and everything but no registration that it was a soundcard... thankyou buck choi and eggssell for all your help!!! and anyone else i missed i appreciate it i thought we could discover the problem and we have thanks again

dont know anyone with traktor and i bought it from america so im screwed

yes i did the same i completely uninstalled everything then reinstalled then during the installation it did come up with the drivers but still nothing has worked. the audio 8 must be faulty. we have tried everything thanks for everyones help!

still nothing.... anymore ideas? if the NI uninstall program doesnt have the driver 8 listed to uninstall it means its not installed right ? ive installed it so many times though its crazy

ok i will use the NI Uninstall to uninstall drivers 2 and 4 and re installed driver 8

do i need the audio 2 and 4 drivers ?

ok i downloaded the audio 8 dj setting tool and its just says the audio 8 is not connected ?

mmm still nothing. something is up... the driver isnt installing and i dont know why. As i said my reason for this is because in the NI Uninstall selection driver 2 and 4 are there but not 8

im thought i did i will download the audio 8 driver again. in my apps on my mac.... i have a native instruments file with traktor and all the drivers in the audio 8 driver file i have the audio 8 dj setting and the documentation. i always have another seperate file that is called audio 8 dj and in that has the same.... but as i said running that NI uninstall program it had drivers 2 and 4 displayed to uninstall but no 8. meaning the audio 8 driver was not installed in the first place ? so hopefully this is the case and i can find a way of correctly installing the driver hoping its not the sound card!

no this step didnt come up ? my assumption is that the audio 8 has never been installed because during the uninstall reinstall NI program it had a list of all the NI programs and drivers minus the audio 8 driver.. tubby can you help me ?
