ok i've just gotten this app and here's what i have to say about it. If anyone has the Beatport app on their iPhone they'll come to see this app for their Mac is quite similar. The main screen is set up with your options and menus on the side and all the tracks in the main window. Quite idiot proof really… These menus show the main Browser (Which doesn't seem to show anything apart from what the app is all about), Top Downloads, Featured, New Releases and Charts, which all drop down so you can select your genres. My Beatport, Downloads drop menu (Available, Re-Downloaded, Downloads), Carts drop menu (All Carts, My Beatport Cart, My Beatport Hold Bin) and a Utilities drop menu (Artwork Tagging). It's been a real easy app to navigate through in the short tie i've had it. previewing tracks is a breeze with a sophisticated waveform located in the middle of the toolbar. Hot keys can be edited to choice for Start/Stop Player, Play next track, Play previous track, Play next release, Scan forward in playing track, Scan backward in playing track, Add playing track to default cart, Remove playing track from My Beatport, Hide/Unhide application. You can create Sub-groups and multiple carts to organise your music your way. Example, My Beatport can contain sub folders for your favourite tracks or to prepare a playlist for download. Same deal with Carts. You can create sub groups for your carts to load them as specific genres or playlists. There are some cool things in this app and I'm sure the more it gets explored the more this app will be used over the webpage. It is a very easy app to use straight off the blocks so people shouldn't be having any issues with converting from the main site to the app. You PC folk may need to wait a while for this as it is a Mac only application. i havent found it too bad. i use to download individual tracks when i was buying from Traxsource, and that was a pain in the butt! havent botheres with Beatport coz i got the downloader to do it for me lol

No it's different to the beatport downloader. I got that the day I signed up with beatport lol This is like the whole beatport site in an app. Hit up beatport and check it out. It's a Mac only thing. I'll download it sometime this weekend and review it for yas

Has anyone downloaded the Beatport app for their mac? i got an email about it and i'm on Beatport now but in a cbf state to download it lol if anyone has it, is it any good?

Industry tickets are only cheaper once 2nd and 3rd release tickets come out. First release are usually the same or a few dollars in price

If it's purly a safari issue then the proxy server works well but specs from the top of my head are 10.6.11 (latest version of snow leopard) I'll need to get what version of safari later but that's about it. I'm also running in 64bit with an i7 processor or whatever if that has anything to do with it??

I've had some awesome shit gigs lol I'll give 1 story from both house parties and clubs I DJed a 16th about 2 years ago as a favour for a mate but it turned out to be the shittest thing ever. So I get there and set up which is all good and just start rocking out sone deep dubstep to myself while I wait for kids to come in. After about 20mins the whole party was there and straight out I was asked I'd I could play something they could dance too. The usual thing It was so bad, I just sat on her window ledge crossfading from gay song to gay song. Someone asked me for Afrojack so I played I'll be There, he comes back to me and says, is this Afrojack? It doesn't sound like him. I bluntly told him to nek a dick. The ok thing that happened was a few girls came up to me asking to play some Chris Brown track coz they wanted to show me a dance they did together (there were about 4 of them). For 16 year olds they danced like proper sluts lol So now this club gig, I was closing for Beni from Riot In Belgium and I was playing at 2am just after him. I was hanging around that club for hours and as soon as I get there the fat fuck promoter walks to me with T-Rek (who was also playing that night) if he could borrow my headphones coz he left his on the plane. I said to him break these and not only will you buy me new ones but I'll kill you after you do. They both looked at me strange which is fair enough lol So I was up in the booth with Beni at around 1ish. Keep in mind I'm not playing til 2. So having a proper chat to him just about random stuff not really caring. He then said to me, you may aswell take over now. May aswell play a few tunes before the club closes. T-Rek managed to do such a shit job then beni and myself played to 12 people at the very most. I played 2 songs before the bouncer told me to stop. Worst night ever

yeah mate. it's all good. got it sorted. was SO damn easy just took me an hour at least to work it out. looking in all the wrong places

guys, I'm somewhat over building sounds in Massive at the moment and want to start using the sounds in my Extreme. Only thing is, i cant work out how to record or get a signal from it. I dont want to use MIDI because i'm already using it as a controller (via Cakewalk UM-1G). I have audio running out of my Extreme into my soundcard (Cakewalk UA-1G) and get a perfect signal when playing it stand alone. Once i open logic up i'm not sure what to do to be able to record it via audio. can anyone help me? to make a written sorta diagram, this is what i have Audio OUT - Triton Extreme (Synthesizer) > IN - Cakewalk UA-1G Audio Interface > USB to MAC
