  1. Well done dude
  2. Pillows and sheets are a cheap and effective Fuck paying 350 a square meter for soundproofing lol
  3. Carpet and pillows / sheets are the best start, acoustically, for someone starting out. I have a pillow under my sub and that does the job perfectly.
  4. My room in wooden floorboards… don't do it lol
  5. Wise ^ When I'm playing at the BYP it's either dnb, dubstep, drumstep or breaks, it takes a lot of time to build up a decent collection of music, I have 3cd wallets completely full of all the genres I just mentioned and I still feel like I don't have enough, and I'm slowly starting to get into glitch hop so there will most likely e another cd wallet I'll need I was into glitch hop a while ago. So bad ass Ps: b2b soon
  6. I would've loved to stick with my preferred genre but the hard house scene just isn't that big here. I started playing dubstep to get a few gigs but then switched to electro because that's where I found work. Playing on BYP was good for a while because you can play whatever you like. If you're struggling to pick one genre then try get involved with a radio station where you're able to freely play what you wish
  7. Cheers dude
  8. Updated track is now available for download again
  9. Lux Entertainment There's others like power music but I'd give lux a call. I use to know one of the engineers there and I never had an issue getting gear from lux
  10. Just had a listen on my phone and it sounds pretty good dude. Not a fan of the chords in the beginning coz they sound a little plain but the middle section sounds good
  11. I'll give this a miss until they iron out the bugs. I'll probably upgrade to the latest version of lion since that should be bulletproof now lol
  12. I have an xone and would seriously recommend it to anyone! If not, go Denon. I've never really liked the pioneer mixes but if you wanna be dardy and all "industry" they grab one
  13. Hit them up on Facebook or by email or phone number if they're other options and just arrange a time to chat. I was talking to a promoter recently and I asked to meet him but all he wanted from me was a demo. Some guys are like that and other guys are pretty open for a chat. You can get to know some good people and become mates from it all too. But just be friendly and don't try prove yourself too much by the chit chat. I've never been one to particularly be a fan of talking yourself up. I prefer to see it in action but thats how I think. Try the open deck nights and enter DJ comps when they come up
  14. same deal as if you were in adelaide dude - connections. go start meeting people and probably suggest you'll play your first hour free too.
  15. mix up in the mixes section
  16. hey guys, this isn't my mix but a pretty good psy trance mix from someone i knew back in the days. i don't think i have a track list for this so hopefully shazam or whatever can spread to the far reaches of the music universe for you guys lol http://www26.zippyshare.com/v/13363684/file.html
  17. I've found that psy mix. I'll upload it when I get back home. Gotta duck out for a minute
  18. Will listen also. I'm still on the look for that psy mix but will upload once I find it.
  19. I got a real tight psy-trance mix from back in the day. Dunno what happened to the dude but If I can find it I'll upload it
  20. That's what I've noticed looking into spinnin records and reset
  21. I was right into tiesto when adagio was the tune of the decade! Got into the techy side with sander van doorn but after what I've searched it seems to be at 128. Spinnin and reset (spinnin sub label) are bringing out some real cool prog trancy stuff. I just don't know what road to go down because I've spoken to the guy that runs Amon Vision and he wants a demo but I don't know whether to hit up the good old 140bpm or kick it back
  22. Yo ma trance people! I'm gonna be slowely getting back into trance for a side project but after looking on beatport I'm a little confused as to what happened to it lol I use to play trance at 135-140. Now, it all seems to be 127-133! Do I produce the new bpm trance or keep the old bpm going? I'm digging the whole progressive big sounding stuff but just thought I'd get a quick trance lesson since it's been about 6 years since I last played it :/
  23. Niky Romero will be alright. Never really got into the bloody beetroots
  24. Having talks about it at the moment. I think the spitfire name will be hanging around a little while longer now
