Ok grab the launch pad for ableton if you like. I think it's more of a live tool rather than for production. Someone that has one could clear this up though

All my hardware has been replaced by plugins. I have a kore controller and midi keyboard lol

I don't think either of them are gonna do much for ya unless you have a daw with supporting plugins. Maschine is a drum machine and launch pad is a trigger system for ableton. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but in terms of producing these styles, or any, you can't using these 2 items. Best thing to do for your budget is grab a daw which had it's own plugin package. If you have a Mac then GarageBand is the way to go since it already cones installed

They've always helped me without any issues. Don't know many of the new guys since I haven't been in a while but Matt (when he was there) and Sarah really know their stuff. Ken and sans son (forgotten his name :/) they've always been alright to me too so I've been more then happy to do business with them. Each to their own I guess

I've played at botanica and it's the top 40 stuff and big room house. Example of the big room stuff would be Pressure - Starkillers and Nadia Ali snd anything by Swedish house mafia and avicii If you look at spinnin records you'll basically get away with most of the stuff they release. The DJ there currently (I think it's still him) is Stevie M. You can go have a chat to him if you like or just hang around and keep listening to what they do and scrape beatport for stuff. Only thing with Steve, don't tell him you're looking for work there lol just sorta weave around it and just make it seem like you don't know much but you're interested in how it works

Sounds a little epic. I guess there's no real half way point besides the city. We could hit up botanica in innaloo… I guess if we go anywhere else one of us (or 2) will be inconvenienced

I've called it quits a while ago and I'm much happier for it! For me there were a lot of reasons why and it was hard at first to turn away from it but now it's been close to a year I don't miss the scene at all. It's a real shame coz I've got some good memories. All I can say is really think about it. Check out new tunes and maybe experiment with your mixes a little. Look into new technology that might open up some time for ya

When Joel first came out and started telling it straight I thought he was a dick. Now I have a lot more respect for the guy. He takes things and exaggerates a little much but I somewhat agree with everything he says

I just finished a remix and I've just started this. Won't be finished in time but it'll be another remix to add to soundcloud
