*paging fiend i like the idea of having a critique thread, and i'm up for helping where i can. however, this isn't my world of expertise. firstly, lol at the end! i think the basic beat juggling thing you have going on seems pretty fine to me. it's just a matter of keeping up the practise and then as you get tighter with it, make the loops shorter.

You could use the same principle as you would when mashing up bangers. Just pick the bits you wanna "fuse" and use filters and/or fades to make them fit

It'll be moving away from decks all together. So in ableton you have 2 windows, which are your live and arrange views. The live view has all the cells and your controller will trigger those cells. So what I'm planning to do is chop up my own samples, load them into the cells and trigger them off as I please. You can load up plugins and use the controller to manipulate values on the master for those fancy effects. Hopefully I'll be figuring all this out sooner rather than later lol
