I thought you couldn't operate 32bit programs on a 64bit platform. My understanding of it all is Snow Leopard was the last 32/64 host. Mavericks came out which was 64 only. I must be wrong yeah?
-
Cool cool. I know most of my plugins won't work natively but there's some sort of bridging app that's used to make sylenth work in 64bit. I'm not gonna be in a mad rush about it but I wanna do some reading

Hey guys, So dad just picked up a new iMac today which runs Yosemite and is obviously 64bit. I hate change when things are working perfectly but this screen is fucking amazing! It's a 27" and it's crystal fucking clear! Yosemite has been around for a while now (this iMac is currently 10.10.2) so i'm guessing most of the bugs have been ironed out. I'm just seeking any info from anyone using Yosemite with logic Pro 9 (or X - ox, this means you) and whether it's working a breeze or it's still got a few bugs. All my stuff is running in 32bit in Snow Leopard still, because it's basically bulletproof for me. I'm gonna hijack dads iMac and install the 64bit version of Ableton on it and see how that goes (I've heard good things about running Ableton in 64bit). I'd honestly like to avoid running Logic Pro X, just because i'm not a total fan of it yet, but if i have to I will. If it's worth upgrading i'll be pretty interested in doing so, coz i'm loving the screen size first of all!

I might have a look at this some point tomorrow. Interested to see if it's a gear thing too

You don't need to play with wav files all the time on big rigs. To some people you can tell a difference. 320's can pump just as much. My old residency has a half million dollar sound rig. I played mp3s and wavs and there wasn't that much of a difference tbh
-
i think anything below 256kbps is pretty obvious to pick up. most people i've played music too can't really tell the difference between 320mp3 and wav. if we're playing on some pretty big shit then i'm sure some people will notice but i think majority will be unaware. as long as they can sing to it they're fine lol

I was a little shocked about nervo tbh. I heard they produced David guettas while album (the one with sexy bitch and what not)
-
so you guys may have seen this floating around the faceballs, but if you havent, Mat Zo cracked the shits on twitter or something and wrote out a list of who producers for who... legit or bullshit?... you decide

Sampling Vocals in Ableton Live 9 is up!

i get the part where we all look out for each other but this is a bit intense for your first post. anyway, sorry it didn't work out for ya. it's an interesting industry this one
-
Yeah mate I get ya. I may do it a little bit differently but I'll do my best to explain it. I've always been super confused about warping for some reason. A mate showed me but it looked super complicated. I should know all this stuff in a week
-
so i think in the other thread about that sampling video i was asked to do an ableton video. well, i just got ableton so i'll try to have one up by next week
-
yeah mate that's just a sine wave. if you download any free synth plug in you can get that straight of the box
-
lol
-
I don't use audacity for multitrack recording but there a tool that can drag clips back and fourth. I think it's the star. I'm not home so I can't remember from memory
-
Should bought it!

I've played this out a few times and weirdly enough, i've received a decent reception from it lol add it to your sets if you wish! enjoy https://soundcloud.com/whoislabrat/cedric-gervais-molly-lab-rat-remix

AudioThing miniBit miniBit is a 8-bit/chiptune style synthesizer that emulates the sound of 80s game consoles and retrocomputers. It features a main oscillator with 15 waveforms paired with a sub oscillator (a square wave pitched one octave below). The waveforms are not bandlimited and will produce aliasing. Furthermore, using the built-in bitcrusher, you can create even more noisy and retro sounds. The new version also features a synced 8 Steps Stepper/Sequencer with multiple destinations. http://www54.zippyshare.com/v/q4Bg3Dnv/file.html

i've got some plugs here that might be fun. links sourced from elsewhere Audio Damage FuzzPlus 3 Back by popular demand, a ground-up rewrite of our popular FuzzPlus series. Featuring the same much-loved vintage fuzz pedal model, plus a new filter, self-feedback, and a modern procedural user interface, FuzzPlus3 is a fine addition to any producer's toolset. Plus you can't beat the price! » Accurate digital model of a vintage distortion pedal's circuitry. » Resonant low-pass filter modeled on the MS20 analog synthesizer. » Self-feedback control for exploring new sonic territory. (In less pretentious language: feeds the output back to the input, which sounds cool on some stuff, and farty on other stuff. Your mileage may vary.) » Cross-platform XML-based preset mechanism for easy sharing and saving of presets. » Animated procedural OpenGL-based user interface. No bitmaps were harmed in the making of this plug-in. » Surround-capable for all formats up to 7.1, for all your surround-sound distortion needs. Did we mention it's free? hey mate, where's the link to the video? if it's the tone i'm thinking of it's just a sine wave which you can generate in every synth
