just search for the song your looking for and add Acapella for the vocal or Instrumental at the end. you cant do this yourself. you can filter out the music for the vocals but it sounds real bad lol
-
i have the same issues with my remixes. it is illegal to use portions of vocal unless you have permission from the respectful owner of the original. your able to produce your mix the way you want but the track can not be sold to make profit. im think your not even supposed to distribute the track at all. but yeh... i remix tunes and pass them around to people and thats about as far as it goes. basically, if you start making a profit without copyrights and they catch you, you're screwed lol

i agree/ and just to add to that, Original Nuttah - UK Apachi & Shy FX think this track came out in 94??? have it as my ringtone lol never gets old this one

Changing up/down your BPM's - What techniques do you use?
LabRat replied to BeatLeSS's topic in Beginner DJ Tips & Tricks
i sometimes cross genre a bit and what i'll do is slowely speed up one track throughout the song but slowley. if you have a BPM counter that shows you currently mixing 128.5 for example, i would start a few tracks before (maybe 3 or 4). so if my target is 132 BPM, you would see my counter go up by 0.2 BPM whenever it feels right to do so. if you go up by tiny amounts over a due course of time, the human ear wont notice on it. i did the opposite at one stage to experiment something and went from mixing at 135 to 142 over 2 tracks. so the track i wanted to bring in at the faster tempo is 140 at 0% so brought that in at 135 and at the big break, brought it up to 138/140 straight away. even though there was a silence in the break that was kinda noticeable. didnt sound all that bad but id stick to changing the tempo slowely during a set hope thats not too confusing lol -

yeh but starting off, we all learnt to play on vinyl. some of us added cd's to the collection aswell. we got that authentic djing style where as all the other kids these days will be pushing buttons n crap. they wont know how to beat match!
-
yeh its a nice place. its home for me but as for the whole clubbing scene we're too far behind whats happening over east
-
yeh fair point about a good dj is a good dj and a shit one is a shit one. but what i dont see as djing is where guys hook up there ipod and use a mixing app to mix a set. im not joking about this either. vid vv that WTF remix i was talking about is Deekline & Tim Healey VIP House Remix
-
cheers SourceRaver you from perth aswell?
-
yeh that mix was just vinyl mate. i do use CD's aswell but try not to where i can. i guess it's because im not a huge fan of the digital dj world. im glad you enjoyed the mix i think on the flip of WTF is a Deekline remix. its electro / break beat style. i want to mix a breaks set soon so if you havnt heard it ill add it in there
-

What is the best beginners turntable / mix set up?
LabRat replied to Jaytee's topic in Turntables & Stylus
go the Stanton ST150. way better then Tech's IMO if your thinking of adding cd players to your set up in the future, then grab yourself an 4ch mixer now rather then later -
hey man, where abouts you play at?
-
haha yes, very true! i've been buying of iTunes for the last few months. prefer if i can find the music on vinyl though. can you get beatport vouchers just like iTunes?
