LabRat replied to Skank's topic in House & Disco
taken another listen now and its king lol that dwarf porn tune is ace -
if you wanna post up mixes n stuff, try using mixcloud. its like a radio / podcast hosting site similar to soundcloud but only for mixes. you can alternate between the 2 having soundcloud for your single tracks and demos and mixcloud for your mixes

listening to it now. just a bit too bouncey for me but its catchy tho lol nice work -
this ones for the hardstyle heads around here or even if you wanna test yourself to something a lil different. enjoy the mix and feedback as usual Spitfire - Trugroovez Battle Mix (Hardstyle) 2008 by Spitfire on Mixcloud 01. Just A Phase - Evanti 02. Searching - Thilo 03. Equalize It - Chiren 04. New Order - Evanti 05. Untitled Project (Evanti Remix) - Thilo 06. Forentic - DJ Zany

you can use either in the battle set up. i had both and i found that the straight arm was better in that format mainly for scratching. mixing is kinda 50/50. straight arms would be better id say in battle formation where "S" would be better in standard formation. thats just what i found while trying it. i spose if you played in a particular formation long enough you'd get use to it

nah i sorta needed to get away from it. i wanted to start playing out so i needed to ease up a bit. unfortunately over time i havnt been able to hear much of whats goin around these days. i bought the DefQon 1 festival on DVD a little while ago and that was sick! pitty it was all in dutch though. theres a good feature on the production of the 2009 anthem. how long have you been into it for? i'll throw up one of my last hardstyle battle mixes up here so you can check it out
-
I use to play in battle style until I got my bench made. There's basically no difference when mixing. If you're scratching you'd want to go battle style for the space so udont knock off your tonearm. P switching to battle style just hives u a tighter mixing space compared to standard

hey guys, thought id throw up the latest from me. this is a remix ive produced for a local band. unfortunately ive had some problems with the program i am using and was unable to adjust some of the things i wanted (BPM for example - currently at 126 but should be ay 132). a few of the levels might be off also but hoping to get it in the studio to be done properly and with a bit of luck, put to wax edit: i cant remember if i uploaded this already lol if someone finds the other thread feel free to delete it anyways, here's the link. all feedback welcome as usual Tantrixx - Daddy (Spitfire Remix) by Spitfire

i wouldnt really change my set up to be honest. will probably get a new mixer of some sort, new cd players (probably cdj1000mk3's or something else) and a sub to add to my monitors. i would defs build a studio room underneath my house so i dont have to worry about neighbors complaining because i make too much noise lol would get it sound proofed too just because it would make the room look cool lol would get a decent mixing desk, a dedicated mac set up for recording, have a drum kit... or 2, get 2 more or my monitors for the "recording studio" bit (fostex pcm mk2's) and a sub... id have the single vision glass and a vocal recording booth. then id have a room extend outwards which could hold around 80 - 100 people and have a mini club set up with the whole lights n stuff and get a few mates around every now n then. put up a big screen so when i wanna just sit back and relax i go down and watch a few movies or whatever too. like i said this would all be underground so the same size as an average house but its underneath your existing house -
hey bozman. i use to play alot of hardstyle!

this one goes out to all the dubstep heads here with a question about a particular style im now chasing. i recently bought a pritty awesome 12" (about an hour ago) and its titled "Black Box - DJ Madd (Someone / Breakage's Unspecified Remix)" now here's the question... can anyone help me out on artists that follow closely to this particular style? here's a link for reference

sounds interesting. give youtube a shot (you probably already have) and search something like The Next Episode Electro Remix or something like that
-
first time ive seen that and its awesome! ive been on and off about getting abelton due to the amount of time i have to produce music n stuff but looks like a well worthy program
-
Gross! only station that works at work
-
ok that mixer seems like it was made for Serato. so most of those features become irrelevant if not using Serato? for example, the effect features
-
looks real space-agey
-
nah if the tracks aren't selected for download they cant really do anything about it id say. they'd probably tell you to take it off but thats all they can really do
-
ah ok, fair enough. sounds like a decent program
-
Its a good watch i might have a browse for it. whats it called?
-
is this one for MAC?
-
he makes a point. i think most guys are recognized from listening to a remix they've produced rather then an original. most of the times, the tune has stayed within 4 walls, never to be heard by anyone but the important guy lol
