i just simply narrowed every bit of dj software down to one category. technically speaking, anything thats computer based is virtual.

hey man, its personal preference to which path you wish to take. im not a huge fan of serato or most other virtual dj programs but i use CD's from time to time. i play vinyl but thats where i feel more comfortable with my mixing

i remember when i first got my set up. wasn't really focused on much else to be honest lol as for the whole sleep thing, i could do with that right now actually. been working 14hr days since sunday with not much shut eye :/

yeh mixers are more or less the same. nothing really complex about them. i'll be playing out soon and have never used a cdj1000. so, my tip of the day: go down to you're local dj shop (like i did) and play with the demo's

i think the clubs are split 50/50 with A&H and Pioneer. i think gatecrasher uses A&H

i flash red. on occasions, i hang around on 1 red. usually, my channels flash red and my master holds 1 under (depending where im playing or what im doing)

im planning to mash it with something but i'll take that advice i guess lol ill search those. cheers tommy

if you want effects you should always get an dedicated external effects unit. 90% of the mixers with built-in effects are ok-ish but will never have the same control

i've just purchased an xone42 the Pioneer mixers are just a name. they've done some very clever marketing with nighclubs across the world to make their gear industry standard and because of this, everyone is flooding to buy their gear. cha-ching for pioneer! there stuff is good, i wont lie but guys who play out often would need to have the pioneer gear i guess.

yo guys, i've just had word that ill be mixing at a club playing electro. i've got a bit of fidget n all that kinda stuff but im going to need more mainstreamish electro. an example of what im looking for is, Gettin' Over You - David Guetta, Fergie & LMFAO wont be playing for around 2 months so would love to really build up my collection until then shanks

if there around 900 brand new, resale would be 700 easy i reckon. but thats even with the stantons. flagship turntables hold their value because they're solid. whether you want to save a few hundred for second hand or pay the extra for brand new ones is up to you IMO
