pioneer will always have that upper hand for as long as they remain industry standard. yes they are too expensive for what you get but people will still buy them because they've marketed them well. if you look at it on a different scale, most will agree that the A&H mixers absolutely CREAM over the DJM's and the Denon CD players have always been that one step forward to what pioneer has been.

i started out with the denon DNS1000 cd players (still got em), and a pair of stanton t.80 turnies which i have in my closet lol went thru a few mixers too... dnx100, stanton m.202 (shit), stanton a.20 or something, numark 5000fx and now my A&H

if you want nothing crazy, id defs get 2 speakers and a sub. maybe avoid having an amp if you can? (only because it just adds more weight to your luggage) mackie make some good stuff. unsure of their prices atm tho. storedj might sell them?

when you think bout it, these things are built to stay on for at least 4/5 hours with no dramas. id turn it off though coz the power bill wouldnt look too good lol

yeh drugs is a tough one tho because its everywhere. i think the WCE drama would've fueled the fire a bit tho

a) its bad its not as bad as everyone thinks tho c) club life is very hit n miss d) theres some decent places around (restaurants, bars etc...) e) its a nice place when you take the time to look around f) it has its faults here n there but its home and every home has a thing or 2 wrong with it
