Hopefully trying to convince the runner to let me smash a fidget set at 2am after a house & progressive warmup during the night.!

So i've been thinking i wanna get a bit more creative/busy with my mixer/decks and have thought of calling someone out on this; What i wanna do is buy a tools pack from beatport, then only using your decks and mixer make something. I figure to make it most even you'd need the same mixer, i.e DJM800 with enough effects. Maybe those with an effects unit could build something up, i have a Kaos Pad 3 so might be cool as to throw that in, but would need the decks to grab the samples etc from the tools tracks. An idea that might not flow, but pretty keen on something like this. Who's keen for a challenge!

Sorry to pick at your opinions of the cable on the HD-25's and the XD-53's but you'd probs go through less cables if it was coiled. probably one of the big decisions i'd make is the cable needs to be coiled! XD53 > HD-25 for this.

CDJ 350's won't work with Rekord Box from network though. ONLY usb devices. Just keep that in mind.

one thing to remember too is your brain is audio balanced. So if you're hearing off beats you'll usually be like wtf.. (syncopation i believe?) Try not to ignore this, i find zoning out and letting my mind do the work i can beatmatch quicker. When it's in time you'll be like "ahhh this sounds good" thats when you've got it. And remember frustration = progress!

Not sure what i'm into, but this dubby/synthy breaks is not that great. Looking for more party/vocal style breaks, sorta cheese I guess. Anyone know of any labels/artists to take a look at? Mad fan of what Krafty Kuts can do, wouldn't mind going down that path a tad (years of practice pending)
