OK. I cant seem to get any sound out of my left monitor. If i plug both the red + white RCA cable in, the right monitor plays if i take the red cable out, the right monitor keeps playing if i plug the red cable into the white socket, the monitor doesnt play, then when i plug the white cable into the red socket, the right monitor plays... problem with my connection? problem with S4? ?!?!1?1?

fo sho. i reckon you are right about the shelf. any type of stand that is sturdy enough to keep 16kg balanced is going to have some massive ugly base on it. post pics of said shelf when you get round to it broseph

yeah i feel ya djaz. everything ive seen just looks unsturdy or is hella ugly. problemo solved though. turns out my mantelpiece is just about perfect height for the monitors. awwwyeah

Just bought a pair of fostex PM1 MKII and they are freaking heavy. the setup is in my room and i dont want some of those ugly gig-style tripod speaker stands, but im worried that any sexy-one-legged stands wont be all that sturdy with the weight of the monitors and my tendency to stumble around my room drunk on the odd occassion may be a damaging factor to these type of stands so. wall mounted brackets? look clean, wont get knocked over, will be at head height..... thoughts?

yeah RCA is standard i guess. so can you suggest any RCA-to-XLR cables? brands etc? ive never had to buy any cables as they've always been included in any gear I've bought
