I only just noticed at too. At any other wedding I would be using them, but as it was a mate's wedding i was running back and forth between my setup and the dancefloor so i found it easier to just use the kontrol x1
-
Here are a few shots of my setup at a wedding a few weekends ago, let me know what you think or what i can improve on... Speakers are Wharfedale Titan 12s Lighting consists of a light emotion hexaled, 2 par64leds, 2 cheap ebay led moving heads and a light emotion LED mirrorball style light (forget the exact name), as well as 2 Light Emotion Colour Bank LEDs behind the table up to the roof cheers y'all!

-
Hey, so ive setup one of my old PCs with a Jukebox software for mate's parties, and it had its maiden voyage the other weekend. I dunno it its just me, but it didnt sound as nice as when i run traktor on my mac. Now i have narrowed it down to 2 things, either the fact that i had my speakers plugged into the back of the PC through the built in soundcard, whereas traktor is always thru the Audio8DJ, or that i converted all my songs from aiff to 320kbps MP3 files just for the jukebox. opinions? like should i just keep the files as aiff or try out my spare maya 44 instead of the in-built soundcard? cheers homies

i did it with my htc aria. cheap screen from ebay, youtube video how to, took all of 15 minutes. surprisingly enough all it really is (on mine anyway) is double sided tape
-
just last night i bought by domain name, after using a subdomain of the hosting company i use. www.djablatch.com.au cost me $27ish (i think) for 2 years through NetRegistry. The hosting and website design was all done though Weebly, pretty good for a free service if you ask me. just gotta redesign the site myself and get some proper hosting and email.....

How much would you be willing to pay? Id be up for it! 21st of august right? so a sunday night? Mainstream is right up my alley so thatd be cool
-
The first and 3rd speaker you posted are the same. Im guessing most people are gonna say go with the behringer for both sound and build quality. I am going to say get one of the cheaper sets because i am curious as to how they go too.....hahah

Some of you may have heard, other may have not, but Brian S. Redd, a fellow and personally inspiring Mobile DJ in the states, suffered a stroke recently and is currently in hospital. For anyone like myself who watches or follows his videos on youtube and djtutor.com will understand when I say that Brian is an invaluable wealth of knowledge and support for us aspiring DJs. Sure he may not be the BEST DJ is the world, sure he may have shitty nights like the rest of us, but the fact that he takes time out of his day to sit down and do his videos for us is what stands him apart. So everyone, if you could, check him out on youtube, facebook or djtutor and give him some support and keep him in your thoughts (and prayers if you're into that) so hopefully he will make a full and speedy recovery!! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Brian-S-R ... 9848837210 http://www.youtube.com/user/briansredd?blend=1&ob=5 http://www.djtutor.com/briansredd/ Practice and Enjoy!

I had a play with some CDJ-1000s at jbhifi back when they were the cats pajamas, and they were exactly the same.
-
also, only get ONE of those lasers. Theyr good when used in moderation.
-
If the d-floor is packed and the dj is midway thru a serious mix, hold back. If like spitfire said, theyr opening and its pretty quiet, or you see them talking to other people then go for it!
-
djaz - how is that light in terms of using it as a centre piece? i got one of the moving head/penguin style ones and im not happy, this was my second choice. cheers
-
Sol, are thoast the 12s or 15 inch speakers? how do they sound, quality and volume wise? cheers
-
the center light is a good one, but the two on either side, make them LEDs as well, there are some cheap led moonflower lights by the same seller on there, quite cheap as well. other than that its not a bad starter lightshow, a few parcans for wash wouldnt go astray either.
