hey mexicans name some clubs in toorak, particularly those that do rnb and cheese (you know all the stuff elitist djs hate). i was chatting to a barkeep at golden monkey when i was down earlier this year and she mentioned a club at toorak that she recommend i check. Anyways new mixtape featuring the whole collective. not for free like the first one, which dropped a couple years before tyler crossed over. they released a "clip"of sorts to a posse track. basically it was a phottoshoot at that terry dudes studio. and this is hip hop. a bunch of cats busting lyrical on a minimal beat. absolutely loved this. all the youtubers were all up on earl (who i think is a brilliant rapper), but i think mike G (the captain america mask) killed it. not surprising as he probably is the best rapper in the crew (though hodgy beats is my fave). but easily the best bit of the whole thang, frank ocean busts a rap!!! i cant wait for him to drop a solo. /rant now and enjoy some good ol hip hop'

yes and no. IMO a technics that is in regular use (club or dj use) will not value upwards much more of what it can go for on ebay. especially as parts will eventually run out, and the number of skilled servicing reduces. hence only a collector will be assed to fit it out. youll still be able to get good money for these (i.e what you may have bought them for assuming they workable), but they wont value upwards. on the other hand, those in top nick and house used only for playing music. will likely value a lot. kind of like when i looked for ghetto blasters and mint condition conics could go for over a thousand dollars. but used conics where the tape player was no longer working was worth a lot (when you consider how much would have been paid for the orig), but not crazy and not trending upwards.

actually russell has it right. If playing premade music (not just samples) and stringing them together (as opposed to say a turntablist) then its djing. no matter what you use. All the dance artists you mentioned are not djing when they are simply performing their music.
