  1. chasm & vida-sunshine - where did we go wrong From a few years back now, the pairing of producer chasm and singer vida sunshine. Their album was an awesome reggae based album, with lashings of funk and hip hop. this track is a nice up beat track. feel good vibe despite the subject matter (breakup)
  2. for the new kids on the block, just re-upping how this thread works again dont shuffle a single album or a playlist. do the whole shebangbang
  3. cool thanks grem. yeah been going back and forth all week. but just bought some sneaks so the spending urge has gone nek minit buys speakers stands road case and new mac
  4. you mean like what they do at GP and glue and places like that
  5. ummm but im not gonna buy im just asking a question of comparison but similarly why B215 vs VP1520
  6. st150s
  7. otay just doing a sol as i wont actually buy either ( <3 solja boy ) anyways was looking at powered PA speakers, and i read some of the old posts and a lot of folks talked about B212s. but the description of the VP1220s sound the same except for the wooden enclosure which states has better sound. so why is the B212 the choice if the other is better. is it just a price thang? here are the store dj links. i know totally jack all about reading speakers specs. my current monitor/ speaker system at home is a technics hifi i bought with my first non temporary non part time non casual pay check aaaaaggggeeesss ago. https://www.storedj.com.au/products/BEH-B212D https://www.storedj.com.au/products/BEH-VP1220D
  8. heyup anyone keep their gear in road cases (preferably TT's but i guess ill take answers from anyone). was thinking of getting some, but then just realised you cant reach the on/ off switch. so does that mean you just leave them on and then just rely on the power chord to turn on and off? it actually came to mind, when i thought about how do i switch the grounding switch on (for vinyl) off (for traktor) without having to lift the shit
  9. adjf tats? hairy? (in before cupe spanks us)

  12. its not only that touring earns more money, this is a net worth list not how much they earn list. so people like pete tong and oakenfeld did a whole bunch of other stuff to get monies plus you get people like norman cook who drank half his shit away why do you think there are no hip hop djs on this list. it all went to strippers, weed and sneakers
  13. refer other post, people think beatmatching on turntables is too much effort gahaha sorry ill stay on topic got to say i too am quite surprised, reasonably priced too EDIT: oh wait you havent said a price..

  18. woh welcome mate nice to have some venue participation in the place. im assuming you were there for the recent slow roast gig? that shit was epic too.
  19. so i finally have a gig that isnt a barbie at someones house (or to drunk grrls at my place). its only a gig-ish because its unpaid, yeah im undercutting the industry u mad hehe nah not really, my cousin having a do for something and wanted some tunes playing in the background and asked if i was down for a jam, and i said fer shizzl. anyways... i dont have a PA system and not sure what the hall has (will enquire this weekend) so was just going to hire some powered speakers. is DJ warehoue the go in sydney? or can someone suggest anywhere else.
  20. i like bacon. bacon good. i thunk we have a winner =D>
  21. kidz in the hall - make it up tonight kidz in the hall are a chicago rap duo. if you listen to enuff chi spitters you realise they annunciate with so much emphasis and have a lot of word play (doible meanings, use of syllables) and these cats are no different. this track is from their latest album last year. Nice chill track with an awesome piano based track (kind of like common songs circa Be), with nice little hook
  22. my objective when i first bought the kit was to "mix" my annual mixtapes that i give to the holmies usually around summertime. kind of done that by recording about one mix a year. since having them, i had delusions of grandeur of just playing at this local bar that has djs and cocktails on thrusdays; or get a job around newie on a sunday playing lounge at a cafe/bookstore/ bar. but never really got good enuff. new objective, to do a weekly radio show which at first will have minimal mixing, but going forward will be full mixed sets. but we'll see how long this objective lasts....
