mine are the 425's. never mixed with these, but i have done some quick dirties with my older lower versions. i think i would still prefer an ear plug and cans for protection (not that i have bought said ear plugs yet). as i move from one ear to two ears to no ears with the cans throughout the mix. and i couldnt imagine taking out and putting in the in-ears thru out the mix

i use shure in-ears for everyday listening and means always in my man bag. dont remember which one now. i had the lower ones and recently upgraded. i love em. definitley makes you play at a lower volume.
