  1. I did read that. But seriously this is a huge amount of effort to go to just because of some perceived paranoia or hipster mentality of refusing to use a popular service that does the job perfectly fine. I don't know if its paranoia, its more back when I used public email (hotmail) it would always inevitably end up in spam. since I stopped using it about 14 years ago, I have never had spam which I couldnt trace exactly where it came from. things may have improved since then but for now that's my experience with public email. in terms of "hipster mentality of refusing to use a popular service", I never go pearl jam and just say no for no purposes. in reality they were still controlled by the masses they just did the opposite. stupid... I do have my opinions and personal beliefs which is why I don't go for any scumerberg stuff because the guys a dick.
  2. haha that wanted pic. lols
  3. so its bill paying day right. and im looking at my credit card statement, and theres a charge for "Bedi & Sons Southbank". its for the monday but I know sometimes things take a while to charge. im thinking I don't remember any bedi's..... google comes up with bedi's indian in south yarra. and im like wtf! I had Korean on the thurs but I never ate indian all meat. on hold for ages when nek minit...... iga! hahaha
  4. dat mitchness
  5. looks dope mitch.
  6. its the reloop iq2 non usb version yeh ive been wondering how it works. it has a send/return which is togglable to A,B or master. so does that mean basically outputs to the external unit and then it is the sound from the unit which is playing?
  7. yeh i still have it and that was originally what i bought it for. that and to control a third internal deck to drop samples via the mic channel. i thought of sample banks before traktor 2 i set it up once. played around with it. it did exactly what i wanted . then realised i dont use that in my mixing. haha
  8. and the other option was to use a pedal looper like the boss and roland ones. again gets a little expensive. here is atrak using one explicitly to set loops for a scratch sesh. ive seen longer vids where he does use it to go from one track to another http://www.bossus.com/gear/productdetai ... rentId=251
  9. another alternative i came across in my searches was the soundbite loopers. which comes in a mini, XL and pro http://www.redsound.com/products/SoundBITEXL.html anyone use them before?
  10. anyways i relooked at the ztrip thing i was dribbling about. and then remembered i knew exactly what he had the pioneer efx500. but seemed to expensive just for looping. not too mention he doesnt use it as i was thinking http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/products/archi ... /page.html as seen in this vid this was an extract from the how to rock a party disc 2 of the scratch documentary. pretty basic but he says a lot of good stuff. and that mix at the end is awesome. z-trip rules http://tvpot.daum.net/v/15174758
  11. yo as per several threads in the last few months. i have been thinking about adding a looper to my mixes when i am mixing with vinyl. not anything special, literally just like pressing the loop button on your cdj or dvs i just know that in some of the tracks i play on vinyl (jamaican 45s or old school 80's shit) dont have long enuff instrumental parts or are so varying in bpms that i thought a looper might help. reality is i will buy something and never use it. but that (and buying shoes) is in my nature anyways anyone have ideas? preferably cheap so when i see it gathering dust i dont feel so bad
  12. oh i wasnt thinking looping doubles. anyway about to post another thread before this gets derailed
  13. haha yeh i got traktor. but since getting the new lappie, i set it up to make sure it works and then never used it again. been going straight vinyl of late. will still use traktor to knock out my disco and electro shit. but really was just wanting something to add to mixing vinyl. ill start another fred, if i cna only find the vid of ztrip doing what i meant
  14. haha i was combing for traktor threads to help out oxy and this came up. the good ol' argue about dvs days. hehe
  15. oh wow that sounds awesome. especially if you can control it with line fader. my mixer can do rolls but it fires it out to the master at full and cant be controlled. which means i cant fade a track in or fade the track out. so from the roll i can only cut in.
  16. wicked. nek minit four deck loop mixing
  17. awesome. sonically wise all reloop mixers get good reviews. and the cross fader is so smooth. easily the smoothest i have used, versus a handful of pioneers, two of the two channel stantons, and one of the behringer ones. too bad i dont really use it mixing hahaha. it doesnt have hamster mode. again i dont use it but i guess a lot of scratchers do. i actually want to find a mixer that can take samples, and or introduce a sampler into the setup. basically like zttrip does to extend instrumentals. i was messing about with roll on mitch's djm700. not sure if its exactly what i want but pretty cool
  18. well reposts. they were all bucks doing. was a laff of a post. the dude we were helping was 21 and from syd. but buck was a 17 yr old and said his parents would find it weird if some random man just showed up
  19. then only other comment was go into the audio 10 setup software and ensure all inputs are set to line now from memory we did all that!! but i guess try again and let us know. these were the posts i got them from. first guys ended up being hardware. second one for cupe was one particular setting. posting.php?mode=quote&f=12&p=37760 posting.php?mode=quote&f=12&p=121649
  20. pic of timecode setting
  21. i know its tsp 1 but same shit. some pics of routing
  22. otay i did a bit of digging (and not the crate style...) came across two threads where there were some tips including from OG Buck who uses cdj's. also lloyd was a tsp cdj person so maybe he can help you thru le chats. obviously below is stating the obvious but at least a thorough walk thru can be done but first up re: wiring EDIT: oops this was for cupe and vinyl. make sure mixer is on line.
  23. supporter of spitfires mixes four years strong
