  1. did oxy ever get traktor going at the meat... or did it end up over the balcony
  2. ummm still confused mayne. as above most places will have turnies. if you comfortable with that stick to that.
  3. while there may be preferences at certain bars clubs (be it cd's or turnies), i have yet to see one that only had one option. i.e. doesnt matter man do what you feel is good. sometimes the turntables are shoved on the floor (yeh you dj at argyle) or used as a spinning cd rack or in the janitors cupboard, but if you ask it will be somewhere

    Hi ADJF

welcome homie glad you decided to post. feel free to ask questions in beginners as a lot of cats ready here to help. and lets hope you can get some mixes up for review. i know i learnt heaps getting the gang to review my shyte (and the first couple ones were pretyy shyte )
  5. This guy knows. ps. ads are customised based on your browsing history. Moved to Singapore for a reason eh matey lols busted
  6. fixed all the baleds
  7. and hey who doesnt want to meet a single asian lady
  8. yeh for straight out mixing i dont think you need them. i achally find the stanton platters slippier than the techies. and with the torque on the stantons you need to press pretty damn hard to make the platter go slower than full speed so for straight mixing all you need is to be able to hold the record in place while not slowing down the platter .
  9. all good shamrock. i used to do the same when i was searching for things just never know if people are looking. be they posters or lurkers
  10. holy shyte if it does. start selling them on ebay
  11. pretty sure st150s have pitch control if you use line out instead of phono. i dont use it but i kind of recall it and yeh pretty sure dvs can do it. other way is if yoj have a mixer that has pitch control just go opposite to what you need. theres also the option to re-edit the track. but really if you getting to chipmunks you could also consider not using that track. or use another method to transition rather than beatmatching
  12. i use dr suzuki mix edition slipmats w my st150s. i think they work awesome. i dont scratch but they seem fine w it. im guessing the rugsnare good for qbert style scratchers
  13. there are varying techniques to change EDIT: bpms of your mix but just remember you also dont want to fark up the punters groove. but for sure i love djs that can go all over the shop and really makes the whole trip seem like one
  14. sync? i thought you on turntables? or you were looking for turnies
  15. cheating from who? dont believe the elitist hype mate. aint nothing cheating. just think was it cheating when people used their watches, counted out the beats, wrote the bpm on the front of the album, and then organised their record crates by genre and speed.
  16. holy shyte thats awesome! nice to see an ADJF OG making it massive
  17. nice. makes no sense though no external controllers but allows built in buttons in mixers. i.e. what is essentially now a controller.
  18. wow six minutes sounds long. i dont know what turntablists judges look for (and i probably have not seen much dmc post kentaro) but at that length i would prefer to hear technique while still being somewhat musical. craze's (one of his many) and kentaro's i always felt had this. a-trak's winning one is pretty funny too. ill check out your vid later tomorrow (fly back to oz tonight) and let you know what i thinks.
  19. awesome man!! sweet ill be back in aus just in time to pick up at JB
  20. 50th bday of the M44
  21. well its been back for a little bit, but very underwhelmingly. its under new management now. wrxfiend posted this in another fred but i think its worth its own. deets in the link http://www.dmcdjchamps.com/news-view.php?n=NjAx and for those in perth go support the adjf brother, wrxfiend, on his quest for some golden turntables (what do they give now... vestax?) viewtopic.php?f=84&t=15767&start=15
  22. but the m447 i assume is superior on regular vinyl (sorry havent checked your links though). i remember reading all about various needles and tracking and shyte but honestly unless your name is qbert you probably cant go wrong with any of the good ones. i still use the ones that came stock with st150's. still go good. never replaced the needle yet either.
