  1. itunes is crap period. too restrictive. itunes as a store is fair enuff for peeps who are happy with the tunes they have and dont require any higher spec. but itunes as a media player is too restrictive (as is all things apple). as i said in one of my very early posts, apple is good for those that dont mind following a strict set of rules, dont mind being told what to do and happy to accept you cant always get what you want. i mean i love my ipod classic (well it was actually pre them calling it a classic) which ive had for 4 years but it definitely was frustrating having to work within the confines of itunes. and dont even mention the iphone....
  2. what your favourite method straight line or diminishing
  3. you cant save contacts to sim can you? one of iphones many advancements he he anywho go to settings. then safari. in there ahould be a setting accept cookies. needs to be pages visited ot always
  4. iphone 4
  5. sorted. it was the accept cookies setting. not that i ever changed it. and it was working fine for the last three weeks then started effing up this morn. not surprised these things are buggy as hell. i dont understand how everyone raves about how apple computers are the most stable but their mobile device operating system is buggy as!!! had my camera freeze over weekend. googled it and it is apparentally very common. the methods of fixing are reboot; else reset; then if that fails go to apple store and ppl were saying the stores were so use to it they just looked at it then handed over a new one!!!!! lucky for me the reset while plugged into itunes worked but now too scarwd to use the camera
  6. cupe you need an iphone so you can listen from yer phone!! hey cbg i likes. your very subtle eeeet which then gets louder to bring in the first breakdown was nice. then the brooding 4 x 4 of your build up really gets you pumping (in fact liking all your build ups). and the vocals are on point and are totally perfect. and that first vocal drop into the scratchy/squeaky bit prob my fave part. i also like how you change up the sounds right thru
  7. hmmm yeah i dont think its the remember password thing. because even when i type in my login and password then it goes to the profile page which is all good. but then i click on the forums link and it appears i am logged out. maybe its going to a cached version of the page. ill play around w/ the settings.
  8. anyone else having probs posting from their "i" device? been trying to post my review of cbg's new one and kept saying invalid session. (i began the review with cupe you should get an iphone so you can listen to soundcloud at work.... to bad you cant post to adjf!!!) also notice that when i login it goes to my profile page, then when i maneuver away from that page it shows as though im ot logged in??? any ideas cupertino
  9. yo welcome im a syd bro so cant help you with melb details. good luck w it though. sure the gang will come help soon
  10. as i said in my first post, im out. i thinks it was you and skank and callmeyo and pulsebeat who were down.
  11. welcome
  12. gandy you are right. cdjs were gonna be the death of djing. from the amateur locals like my mates to the pros like norman cook (who really ripped into the cdj generation) felt that cdjs were toys and it was gonna get a whole bunch of kids in the scene. now hasnt that changed. the things are induatry standard now. and you got ppl like norman cook even going dvs! the dj scene has always been a little elitist. so one gen is always gonna hate the next gen. it use to be heaps worst w ppl covering up their record labels; definitely would be no sharing on an open forum like this.
  13. wiki is your friend djd for snoop on one of his tours. actually now resides sometimes in qld. but the most important was he was in Beat Street!!!! so he must be cool
  14. two djs two roadies groupies optional but for real if no equip then need roadies
  15. hmmm pretty sure if you buy from the MOS album then it will be the same thing. if you were doing that just search for the name and get the actual release?? HOWEVER i remember sometimes on Juno (i dont really do beatport anymore except for US releases where the europe release is more than 2 months later) i occassionally see albums where it has the mixed version and the unmixed version BUT i dont remember if they were MOS
  16. fabric live series have always rocked. and even better they are recorded live from the club. atraks, craze, spankrock djs and scratch perverts are some of my faves. i think the mixing on them were tops. also kid kenobis klub kids from last year was awesome both discs. as was atraks infinity 1 mixtape. admittedly i have cut down on buying mixtapes but a lot of djs issue like weekly podcasts/ mixtapes for free and heaps of them rock
  17. shiver i think you mean not all songs are remixed but yes beatless all songs are mixed in together. been a while since i listened to an mos prob kenobis sessions. and it prob depends on the dj as to whether its a ending to beginning type mixing kid kenobis dedinitely wasnt. oh and beatless buying track for track from that album will mean you will have the versions that are being mixed i.e the start and posaibly each end will be in the mix. so if you want the track dont buy that one go to juno and buy the full version
  18. scene will survive. as i said back around 92 to 95 pop charts were riddled w edm. be it trance, acid or house. everything from origs like daft punk to pop artiats bringing in dance producers. its pop that changes because by sheer definition it is just a matter of whats popular! it didnt kill hip hop it didnt kill punk it wont kill dance music. couple more months then the masses will be wearing flannos stop shaving and growing their hair long
  19. hey chev check the 4th post in this thread i.e the tracklist for Dubstepish 06 (not even sure what country this from, greece?) http://forum.funkysouls.com/dump/f71t295461n140.html so your international bro! getting some mad love
  20. yeah mixed so better off getting track names and buying seperately. with oz dollar killing it should work out okay on juno
  21. yay 1000 posts!!! VIP here I... oh what 1500+ since when back in line with the other plebs
  22. hating a track because you dont like it doesnt make you a music snob, hating on people because they digg a particular track and looking down on people for digging a track is what makes a music snob. for the record i hate heaps of tracks, and a lot of those are ones people here like (or even included in their mixes)
  23. bomfunk still goes off!!! ha ha i was just bumping that cd in july. love it man.
  24. hmmmm... my first thought is who cares if its popular. weve said it in a thread prior, some shit songs get popular. but the truth is a shit song is a shit song regardless of if its popular, i.e. i dont think becoming popular is relevant to how good a song is rather just showing how relevant it is to the majority. and on the same coin just because a song is popular doesnt make it shit. i really dont get the im too cool for school attitude when things hit big. you know the oh we love that raw in your face justice sound; oh justice makes formulaic crappy junk; oh we love deadmau5; oh deadmau5 is a pretentious twat who cant dj; oh Black Eyed Peas are true school to the elements; oh BEP are a bunch hip pop wannabes....or dave guetta who everyone was sucking his dick back in the day but because he wants to work with mainstream artists he is now the devil?!? his still producing the same shyte just with peeps that are hated so now he is hated. a few years ago every single song had a feature rap or had break/ hip hop beats. you even had dre producing for gwen. so you had everyone shouting hip hop is dead. it wasnt dead then, and it continues to thrive now. i think i also said in the other thread, what you see in the charts is usually the tip of the ice berg for a genre, and usually what was famous in that genre maybe 6-12 months prior. so a lot of people only knew of hip hop thru what they see in the charts and judged the entire genre on that. but i can tell you from being a hip hop fan since 82 what makes it to the charts is only miniscule and only slightly representative of that genre even in its hey days like the golden 90's. and im sure its the same for dance and edm. we may get worked up because we're like oh i hate how people say they like dance because they listen to "drop in some pop act that cool people are hating on", only because we are deep in th edm game. while we might be right into some punk band in the charts that punks would turn around and say what you like those people! this has happened before you know charts at one time were littered with trance, house and even acid songs. and fair enuff some by pop artists who jacked the sound, but made it for the masses and the masses swallowed it up. i rection the best example was kylie. she took a sound she loved from her club scene (and she would have hit it hard dating michael hutchence) but was different from what stock aitken & waterman were doing for her. now you could say her is a pop artist jacking a sound, but guess what everyone loved it, including the club scene. so really who cares if the entire world starts bumping edm. its not meant to be an elite class that is only reserved for the posers, but a music style we all love. end rant. sorry i use to be a music snob before i got to uni and then relaised you know what music is all about tastes. no matter how smelly a cheese may be, someone might actually like it...
  25. awesome album! hey cupe did you get into their new album earlier this year. it was on my list of want to purchase but kept getting pushed down. my old man got our first cd player in 1992 but by then most peeps had cd players and a lot of releases were coming out as cds first before cassette or vinyl so i actually bought my first cd about half a year before we even had a cd player. it was Bobby Brown - Bobby ( back to the b-b- brown...), new jack swing ftw! one day it will return ha ha ha the first vinyl i ever bought that wasnt a present was the rocky IV sound track and Wierd Al Yankovic - In 3D, and i still have em. ill see if i can get eat it into one of my mixes
