  2. tubby just take note he's a mac user dont hold it against him.... just joshing yeah yeah we know macs are more stable and safer blah blah blah refer other thread
  3. well actually to be fair, if you go to their website they state clearly that they make all their own products!! so if you make the mistake of thinking you were buying some other brands products because the machines looked familiar, and had very similar names, then thats your own fault.
  4. cupe never locks thread so that we can ressurect them at some random moment. sometimes we ressurect and derail in the one post, gotta love these free society forums peace love & mung beans!!
  5. crap. yeah im all out of ideas bro... guess wait for tubby or bring it in store. i dont know enuff about macs to even begin troubleshooting it. have you registered with NI forums? maybe post it up there (then spruik ADJF), i did for my ground loop hum and there are enuff regulars who usually get back quickly.
  6. no. use the utility to uninstall them. now i understand why in your picture it looked different to mine and bucks. and why it didnt have the channel A, B, C, D in the drop down. it thinks you have an audio 2 or 4.
  7. mik, in the same link was the relevant drivers for the Mac. did you download those and install? i also suggest installing the Audi 8 DJ Setting Tool for the mac.
  8. hey. check the upgrade fee might still work out cheaper. i am pretty sure (well 85% sure) you can purchase an upgrade from pro to scratch?
  9. no time code wont work. yes, traktor scratch pro is a different license. isnt the cost of the audio 8 the same price as traktor skracth pro anyway??
  10. yep i copped it last night and recommend. tried to check out a few others on vinyl pusher but crashed. Any recommendations tomy.
  11. if this uninstall, reinstall dont work, and youve gone 1.2.6 on tsp then its gotta be the sound card. if you dont have another machine to test maybe bring it in and they can test at store. i have read of doa audio 8s in the NI forum (rarely but a handful) and they always get swapped out.

  13. in my quote there is a link which should have an OS uninstall program.
  14. but these are drivers not programs. did you not want to install the Uninstall Utility?
  15. follow the Uninstall and Install procedures and then come back to us.
  16. and yeah maybe its hardware fault?? if the above doesnt work. is there another pc you can try just to see if it picks up the Audio 8. or as per CBG suggestion bring it into a store.
  17. oh man. ive heard not to use a hub due to latency THOUGH others swear by them. but definitely the consensus is to get USB hubs with their own throughput and power (can repost djtt artivle if you want). you definitely have USB 2.0, they wouldnt make new computers with USB 1.0. anywho, here is the audio 8 driver instructions for mac. pretty vague. i cant click down on anything cuz cant remember my NI password, and when i do the forget password its asking for serial numbers!
  18. hey mate run thru this trouble shoot first, then ill post up the driver stuff. http://www.native-instruments.com/knowl ... ide+-+(Mac)
  19. sweeeeeet. was waiting on this one!!
  20. cool. yeah figured you didnt. if your cdj's can send midi signals though, you can map it to set off traktor effects or the hot cues in traktor (but your cdj probably already has hot cues). but lets work at getting you started first. i would have thought that the upgrade of traktor scracth pro would have done it but i guess not. browse the NI forum or NI support page to find the drivers. ill have a squizz for you at lunch, at work right now.
  21. wait thats two different things you are talking about. you can get the cdj's to play time code, such that you are basically mixing externally the same way as a cdj player would. i.e traktor is nothing more than transport system for your music. OR you can map midi functions if your cdj can send midi signals. therefore using the cdj's to control the internal decks. not sure why you would do that though?? ALSO all the lights on was a common symptom your Audio 8 drivers are out of wack.
  22. yello
