  1. if you are that paranoid when using a pooter. why not just do like diplo, craze and others. have lappy to one side of you not in front of you. therefore you just scroll, look for track, load. and then back to your decks. so you really only need to look sideways to load a track. and if you have your bins sorted out good enough, shouldnt take any longer than it would have to flick thru records in your crate, take em out the cover and lay them down.
  2. someone do a dubstep remix already f,l,o,p,p,y...
  3. that was sweet man. big ups. i dont mind the fade clicks in fact sometimes i prefer it with turntblists. its kinda like preferring skate vids where you can hear the skater as opposed to just the music (unless spike jonze is involved). but maybe use a mic near speaker so at least there is more music, and faders in background.
  4. here is the new def wish single. first one in donkeys http://soundcloud.com/jointadventure/def-wish-cast-dun-proppa
  5. some classic herd. dont think ive heard this for years. sorry about the whales cupe
  6. bought this about a month ago. and been meanin to post something up now that ive just a bout heard every track (it was part of a massive haul). an absolute brilliant album. i always love how on a herd album they switch levels up, slow, deep, political, party. herd definitely has the hip hop game on point. and iaint talking skip hop game, im saying hip hop global, this is one of the best releases of the year. adding jane tyrrell permanently was their best move a couple releases back. she has a beautiful voice. and who better to intro the album then the herd
  7. oh yeah i almost went to the lane festival just to see def wish cast. pioneers of aussie hip hop. where is this, the gaelic? EDIT: at annandale
  8. i think i kind of get it. well maybe not 18 year olds, but say anyone born from 1990 - 1995. its because its something they can all relate to. because as you get older the music style amongst friends begins to vary. even fr myself, if i like have a party and id be liking things from slow roast, shabang, fools gold, ed banger, elefant traks, good music etc. and ill have a few holmies who will like kanye; and a few holmies wholl dig the disco of codes; and a few who will dig slop rock; none of the mates will like herd and so on...even more so, some of them won't even know the artists from various genres. on the other hand if we slap on some 90's pac, or 90's snoop, or 90's chilli peppers, or 00's craig david and so on. they'll be like oh yeah this is the shit and all know it, and all like it. even if its a totally different genre to what they listen to now. i mean even all my holmies who were once breakers/ dancers, scrap book graffing, rat tail wearing wouldn't listen to hip hop now. but would still put their hand up to nuthing but a g thang. thats my new theory
  9. craze uses in ears in his ustream. though i have seen him with technics headphones too laidback luke was using in ears in that latest overhead
  10. haha thats crazy. actually thats what my "this is for the weekend" mixtapes use to be. well they were really just compilations. but to be played in order as i would plan the tracks. and they were to pump me and my holmies for the clubbing for the weekend. i remember in my first job, id pop one on at about 4 every friday.
  11. i still dont get why 21 year olds seem to love 80's and 90's music? maybe a handful of classics and thats it. im in my 30's and wouldnt want a whole night of 80s and 90s at my party. maybe a couple of BBD tracks, bobby brown megamix and thats it. i wouldnt even want too much from the early noughties. so much good music out now.
  12. oh here it is. i remember because im a bigg nadastrom fan. and also because this featured isa GT and maluca. who do that really samba/ latin american dance music. you should check their stuff too http://www.maddecent.com/releases/blow- ... moombahton
  13. have you guys heard the story of moombahton, how dave nada from nadastrom invented it at his relo's homecoming party. slowing down afrojack's moombah track to a speed more used in reggaeton im pretty sure earlier in the year nada did seomthing with mad decent and they released a moombahton collection
  14. dirtyloud are some brazilian boys, who porter seems to love. its probably just a bootleg they did of the track. which means its likely not released. but if you search you may find. or hit up dirtyloud
  15. nice one sol, you played your part and hopefully allowed people to enjoy themselves
  16. nice one jaz! so awesome seeing a lot of you guys getting gigs
  17. Copped the new album today at jb. First cd ive bought it ages (oh and the ns7 is sold). Only up to track 2 and its killer. Pure old school bmore with big freedia.
  18. Hey thanks man. Yeah i was only really happy with maybe 2 of them, including my use of the echo in the last transition. As per other thread i spent a lot of time spinning records back and missing desired drops. its just the tracks that make it stand strong! All artists are some of my fave. But def grab craze's EP. Four tracks. And ive raved about codes heaps. And thanks to shabang i discovered bogusdank. Bought heaps of his tracks in one hit.
  19. no rules on selling here. you can even sell your new born. anyways good luck with it. yeah i searched for donkeys trying to get some 1200's. you can still get some unused ones in japan and US. and i have delusions of grandeur that i will one day buy when i have a bit more scratch.
  20. well you know catering for my age group thanks for the bump solja.
  21. Vigor. Its old now. I think it was 2310VN or something like that. It looks like a mantaray
  22. so???. my other mix was a wav file 145MB went up with no issues. i bought a small office modem/router. i remember from my old apartment you could get a few bars from the pool about eight levels down. i know great for my neighbours!
  23. haha oops. i meant they said plug into your router rather than using wifi. and it worked! spit, the router is what allows you to have your internet on wifi. most modems are modem/routers these days though some people still use a modem and router together.
  24. agree as above angle and sound are good
  25. hey samantha welcome to the fam
