  1. yo. dont worry 50% of the peeps here had Off-Topic has highest forum posted in
  2. at some point in time in a 2 month span one of the majors will have these on sale so wait. im sure i got mine for $230, or something like that. no more than $250. from DJ Warehouse.
  3. Yerp
  4. The odd future fellas just keeps coming up with gold. Here is the internet (syd the kid who is the short haired grrl in the clip, and a producer matt martian). Nice track, slightly freaky clip (typical golf wang)
  5. man finally get around to buying this and its not avail on aus itunes. ffffuuuuuuu not in stock at jb. aaaarrrrrrrgggghhhh
  6. cmon thats a bit harsh man. like sol said he tried to do the right thang and buy gear second hand rather than fake markets. not like he was the first to buy stuff second hand. and def not the first to then run into problems about it.
  7. hey man welcome. check the dubstep section and you will find some primo producers on this forum
  8. all seinnys are made in china. the higher range are "hand crafted" in germany or ireland after coming from china so that they can add a premium. the hand crafting is probably adding the ear cover, or screwing in the cable. look at everything in their lower range or mobile range, all made in china. but yeah if you buy fakies then dont expect them to be as good as the sanctioned ones, unless they off the back of the truck. sol i thought you bought these second hand not from a market? i tried searching for cables but yeah only the dj stores sell official. unfortunately not sure what the plugs are to suggest other places. EDIT: as per jaz, jaycar prob is good starter
  9. hmm havent tried mapping for a bit so not sure mate. maybe look around djtt or NI forum if it you cant figure it out
  10. welcome. good to see the lady dj's also score some groupies
  11. yellow yeah mate better get off serato, only the crappy pretend guys like grooverider and roni size use it.
  12. the USB hub thing definitely makes no difference. i am pretty sure traktor can take multiple midi devices, because you can have 2 dicers or 2 X1's. you will just likely have to map them yourself.
  13. where are your speakers located? i am using a technics hi fi system for my speakers. whan i use to have the 2 main speakers on the ground underneath the table my beat matching was always slightly out or i had to really bend down to get it right. then when i put the speakers on the table right in front of me, there was no issues at all (my beatmatching still sucks but thats human error ) so that may be something
  14. i remember asking this a couple years back. but i believe you are meant to put it in the ear with the can as well as the other one. the clarity of what you hear should not change, so you should be able to still make out the kick. but as it has reduced some of the other noises it reduces the wear and tear on your ears.
  15. cool. cheers. almost forgot about this. as i said nothing fancy as it was just intro/ outro basic. and not very well either. but some killer tracks. working on a more bmore/ ghettotech/ breaksy one where ill go back to my usual style of mixing.
  16. Nice one son!
  17. yeah def pick two songs which have prominent kicks and not much else. also dont worry about headphones at first. just have both line faders up and try to get them to match. its good, though not necessary to know the bpms before hand. just to give you some idea of which way to pitch. which is why back in the day you would either write on the record label the bpm, or put a little sticky on the album cover. and people are different, but my preference is to pitch the incoming record down from what it should be and then that way i know which way i will be pitching to make the two match. the other thing when you start to move to songs which dont just have a kick, there are times when there is not enough in the intro to beat match OR there is too much going on to match; so scroll forward to somewhere in the song where it makes it easier to match.
  18. hey you can buy an electronic download of scratchy seal from thud rumble. (the ultimate scratch record, dont get me wrong you can do more with others, but this is like that black mini dress in your wardrobe that you can just pull out for all occassions..wait what)
  19. big ups jonny!
  20. well it might depend on the larger sound system. some are still pretty loud but not necessarily have the best clarity, so you wouldnt be able to tell the difference. ive read of several big name dj's buying music from itunes (and you cant compare their 260 aac or whatever it is versus a 320 mp3, different measuring system), and they play big ass festys. i think z-trip, and maybe craze were amongst them.
  21. yo mint
  22. gahaha awesome88 9th wonder may have moved on (back to MPC's), but he used it on heaps of classic tracks for murs as well as his much acclaimed Nas God's Stepson re-edit album.
  23. I dont think you have your names right. The cheaper version is called sp something or other. Not sure what the diffs were but i assume there are because of the price diff. Just check seinny site
  24. Welcome mate
  25. i was saving this for myself but then i realised, who am i kidding. anyways looks like a good deal. obviously usual caveats with that. but if you in syd and can check before you buy its a bargain. http://sydney.gumtree.com.au/c-Stuff-fo ... Z315189632 wazza you have one of these right?
