Event was pretty cool. Just a small exhibition. About 10 bikes mainly lowriders and one cruiser. They were done by the artist kerupt. Most were on sale about $1,100. They were sweet as though. i know that was just for laffs mitch. but i disagree. if all you want is to add hot cues and transport, have no use for knobs or faders, i dont see why the dicers wouldn't do. and they are nice and small and seem to fit with sol's road case. at the sametime too, @sol why do you need a midi controller? that will give you the answer you need. because you may not even need anything!!! or maybe dicers won't even suit. and so on.

The ad may not sell it to people who dont know much about mpc's but i think it is selling to mpc users who have not yet upgraded and produce thru a mix of mpc to daw.

what an awesome show. great way to start the year. got in about 9-ish, saw that jean greasy wasn't on till 11, and since i was solo dolo i thought id come back later. but then was digging the dj bad ezzy's beats so hung about. then frenzie from the scratch perverts gig came on, this time ditching the dancehall for more straight hip hop. and then the final opener dj was mk-1. but he was just providing beats for some of australia's finest female mc's to drop verses. man it was great. all of last year ive given much props to the other elements (graf, breaks and of course djing) but not much about mcing. but it was in full effect. then for his finale he called up rapper rapaport and some other dude to just bust freestyles. then they just kept passing the mic around, with some of the grrls coming back on deck. it was great. one guy got a bit battly which was dumb (like cupe said in the other fred, i aint big on battles. i love freesytling. and i love the braggadocious, or even the witty snipers, but straight up negativity pfft), but in general it went for ages just verse after verse after verse; with mk-1 switching the beats maybe every third 16. then onto the main act. first up grae's dj mr len (who i looked up and is famous in his own right) to warm us up. then out comes jean with everyone ready to take the roof off. she is absolutely awesome live, rapping, singing and straight vibing. some of the highlights: when she went on a diatribe about how she hates when people diss party hip hop, and how the haters say that aint real hip hop, that aint true hip hop. and she was like fuck that, hip hop began about the party, and hip hop will always be about the party. fuck oath!!! when she busted out the love raps (check my murs thread about how much i like the love rap). especially watching the heads not sure how to rock it, hahaha and finally at the end when she had the whole club doing the 2step in unison. it was a beautiful thang. i wanted to record it but was so caught up in it. only the words of treach capture the celebration of hip hop. hip hooray hooo hay hoo...
