  1. Ok fixed You don't have to post up another thread like mine
  2. Did anyone get into the heats?
  3. Post your favourite tune at the moment as a Youtube vid here. Also say whens your favourite parts of the songs. To post a Youtube link in this thread visit this thread to find out: http://www.ausdjforums.com/modules.php? ... pic&t=1325 Here's one of mine. The piano trance part at 1:35 - 1:33 is amazing.
  4. yeah lets all laugh at the fake dj's because they dont have the money you did to buy your proper turntables/cdj's. Lets all laugh because we are REAL dj's and they a arnt. im sorry, your post realy pissed me off. just because someone has one of those all in 1 things dosent mean thats what they actually wanted. my mate has one but, hed much rather 1000's. but not everyone has the luxury of money mate. In the past I used to just mess with the Tards and watch them squirm, now I'm like into helping other DJs succeed in their DJing. In the beginners focus forum I'd described how to perfectly beat-match using PCDJ-Red Mobile- Check that out and learn the basics of MANUAL DJing and do some Cue-Point tricking, then google the Cued/Play function and learn about that. Oh and in PCDJ-Red Mobile check out the loop functions- muck around with it and you'll find its exactly the same as a Twin deck CD player and a CDJ 1000. Just don't go to http:katz.cd to get FREE software to mix your Limewire music. Just BUY your software and BUY your music and use manual DJing techniques instead of being that automatic DJ crap. regards, John Myatt Why don't you just make a Youtube video tutorial much like other successful DJ Tutors? If you have learnt the fundamental basis of education, visualization of observation is the key to active teaching. Plenty of thesis reports supporting this claim.
  5. As a schoolie or toolie?
  6. haha are you heading up to surfers? I'm going there as well.
  7. Haha Mate, I beleve 'believe' is spelt 'believe'.
  8. Wow, that's perfect then. Just what I needed. I was thinking once I got better I would invest in the DJM-800, SSL and get a pair of Turntables to do real scratching which would require 2 more channels. But If you can switch between channels, that'll save me heaps. What is build quality? Like the quality of the crossfader, dials etc and how much abuse it can take? It's only about $130 difference. Mid next year I should be getting $750 per week woot. Should be able to get my gear in no time. Just wanted to start DJing early so I can have a early start off.
  9. Just as fucked up as the guy who's posting this crap around all DJ forums.
  10. How much did you get it for?
  11. Not too bad. You need an extra hardware to record onto your computer? I thought you couldve used Virtual DJ for that and then tune the settings so that you can use your CD decks and mixer with the program?
  12. Yeah but I know the Pioneer DJM-400 is exceptional quality and is very similiar to the Industry standard but with less channels. Not too sure about the DDM-4000. CBG recommended that one for me.
  13. How much did you pay for them? At least they get the job done. I'm so keen to get 10 different jobs and then save up for my set up.
  14. Hey, which one do you recommmend I get? DJM-400 $690 (Very similiar to the Industry Standard 800 - v good quality, seems simple to use, only 2 channels) DDM4000 $569 (5 channel mixer - got recommended this, looks very complicated with all the buttons etc.) I was thinking about getting turntables after my CDJ's so that means I need 4 channels right? Or can I switch one channel for two different input sources? I tend to abuse things quite alot as well. Please help.
  15. I'm so jealous, what ones did you get?
  16. haha what a way to introduce yourself. Hi, I am Jeremy Smith. I like turtles. ... ... ... ... Welcome
  17. lol. You can learn from manuals, but not much - you need real life examples. It's better learning visually from observations than reading pages of text and then getting everything wrong.
  18. brisbane is good for me as well.
  19. What is the best beginners set up? I was thinking about buying the CDJ-400 x 2 and a DJM-400 mixer but according to most people of this site, it's way to expensive and not good for starting off with. I do not want to buy any records or CD's. I have all my songs in mp3 format on my computer and just want to play off that. I'll do mostly bedrom DJing, but once I get better within a few months I might consider doing DJing at small events then build up to slightly larger ones (possibly just parties and company parties). I like to do scratching as well as mixing - for all genres from hip hop to techno to trance to hardstyle. What would be the best option for me to go for? $2000 is a bit too much, I need a cheaper alternative.
  20. How come the DJM400 is full on? It's only a 2 channel mixer with 3 frequency dials and some effects? Well what's a good option for me to do scratching as well as mixing, I'll check out the xone:22 and DDM4000 (how much do they go for?). As for the turntables, is there one where you can play songs of your computer? I was thinking about getting the CDJ400's then invest in turntables later and upgrade my mixer to a 4 channel one. Sorry for being a 'noob' as you referred to me in the Off Topic Section post.
  21. Should defnitely shorten it haha. But how come this isn't working? I used your code and put the link in. But it shows up as a white box? Maybe the video has embbeding blocked
  22. Wow seriously $85? They must be the SP ones then... not the ones that cost around $250.
  23. He's a DJ from Melbourne. Massive on Youtube. This is most watched Youtube vid with over 2.8 million views (more than a few mainstream DJ's). Is he any good in your opinion? He's the one of the reasons I got into DJing. I can't tell if he's that good or not because I have no one to compare too. He claims that was crappy scratching so watch his other videos.
  24. sounds like a plan Gold coast or brizzy?
  25. Dang I just missed out
