Yeah needs singing or something extra in it, but it's pretty good.
-
Did you actually produce this song or mix it? I find most of it too reptitive. But from 1:01 onwards it has a nice easy tune.
-
You should've posted this up earlier! Good luck though, hope you'll win!

Yeah, it doesn't have to be in music. I'm studying town planning I've started analysing all the buildings and stuff around me like this area has a low security rating, there's a lack of accessbility in this area... the brisbane city square looks shit etc. etc.

So true, ever since I started mixing I've been critically analysing other people's songs and try to find out how they did it.

Guide: How to get rid of the crackling noise in Virtual DJ
Jaytee posted a topic in Music Production
Hey guys. Everytime I used the crossfader on Virtual DJ, there was a weird crackling popping noise. To solve this simply follow these steps: Go to config menu Select the Performance tab Go to the Soundcard section Turn of Safe Mode Done! -
Nevermind guys I found it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iy2TOdvr8QY

What genre would you call soft electronic music?
Jaytee replied to Jaytee's topic in DJ Headquarters
Yes very similiar, instead of the acapaella I'm going to have a soft piano tune of Childrens. Not sure how I'm going to approach it. Most likely mix it in a set. what do you mean by sampling? I thought Electronica was anything to do with electronic music haha. -
Hey guys. I was wondering if any one knows the name of this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Me2v6nJ ... re=related You can post Youtube vids with songs you want to find out here if you want. Also looks like a fucking good game. I'll definitely buy it when I have money (Modern Welfare 2). These guys either have pirated this then burned a CD to put on their Xbox or that they are pro gamers (sponsered to play) to test the beta version. It comes on tommorow midnight.

Let say if I wanted to mix this song Children - Lowland (Original) With a soft techno beat. Keeping the BPM nice and slow as well. What genre would you call that?

Can't you just make 10 accounts and get 100 songs? -
aww that's dissapointing

Does anything happen with the groups or are they pointless?

Awfull beat matching, little djing skills involved. This video was more of showcasing some of my favourite dream dance / techno songs accompanied by a compilation of videos edited to fit the songs/ Video was edited by me (hours and hours). Check it out. http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php ... 8923&saved This is more of a Youtube quality mix. I focused more on video editing that the mix itself. It's not completed.

This is a mix I made a while ago (August 2009) using Virtual DJ. http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php ... 8923&saved Comment what you think. (Yes I cheated with the sync button).

Well a meet up needs some planning. What: What are we going to do at the meet up? Are we going to showcase our gear, party etc? Where: We need to a choose a location suitable for the majority of members. So far it's looking like Brisbane. But wherebouts in Brisbane should it be? That depends on what we're going to do when we're meeting up. When: Anytime after 20th November sounds good. We need an actual date set so we can keep that day free. Day or night? How: When we've done most of our planning, we need to find out how to set up the area, what it's going to look like, what we need to bring etc.

Well honestly I believe as long as the sound outputted from the speakers rocks the crowd, then that's good enough for me. Quoted from a Brisbane Hip Hop DJ No one really cares how much skill you have as long as you play good tracks and put up a good presentation. With technology getting better, mixing and scratching will become more and more easier. Of course within the DJ community, everyone likes to be competitive in skill. But for the listeners, they're more into having a good time rather than worrying if the DJ made a mistake here and there. Some even say seeing the BPM, the waveform etc. is cheating. I think as long as you do your job to play songs and to rock the party / club, then it's all good. But then again you might look like a noob using Virtual DJ or PC DJing

Can you hear the difference between 320 kbps and 128 kbps?
Jaytee replied to Jaytee's topic in DJ Headquarters
What's encoding? What do you mean by filezize? How big the file is? -

Jaytee replied to Jaytee's topic in DJ Headquarters
What's comparable to a 320kbps mp3? Like what's the normal wav one? By the way you can also obtain 320kbps songs from torrents. Not saying I do. -
They have. I've listened to DJ Pimps. I personally don't particularly like this genre (dubstep/hard dance I think?). Some parts are good. I don't like the background buzz noise you hear at the start as well.
-
Go to this site to test. Be honest, did you get it right? http://mp3ornot.com/ I personally can't hear the difference with my computer speakers. But I chose the right answer. Please don't spoil it and post which one you chose. Just say whether you got it right or not.
