What turntables does this guy have? What turntables / set up should I get to play songs off my computer. What do I need? SL3? I'm thinking of getting turntables first, then adding two CDJ-400's later If I'm interested and have the cash.

I bet you no one here loves this song. Let along this genre. and it's language. It's a Korean R&B track, massive in Korea I think. I don't understand anything except when he sings in English.

Where do you keep up to date with the newest tracks?
Jaytee replied to Jaytee's topic in DJ Headquarters
Charts as in current charts or predicted charts?I'm trying to find good music that comes out before it even touches the top 100 or so / played on the radio. -
Hot track.

You definitely got talent. Man I wish I could download these songs, they are so good.

Please go to this site to review piracy laws, US Piracy Law Constitution You will risk being caught for pirating (especially if you live in USA). ADJF does not support pirating and all our members respect the authors intentions.

Haha sorry about the mixing. I have little knowledge of mixing, and still have little knowledge. Should be structurally wrong everywhere, I just played my favourite parts of the songs for this genre.

Hey can you send me a copy? I'm hooked onto this song like truly addicted to it! Truly amazing after I hear it a couple times.
-
Haha that would've been hilarious to hear. Whens your next show Tomy, I'll download the program next time.

Mine donesn't load? I clicked choose connection speed and it just says 'waiting for video'?

The rep idea sounds good. A minimum amount of rep should be placed and once reached moderators may review the user.

That was pretty much the gayest post ever, seriously. I agree with you. Sounded like he was high on drugs when he did that post. Also reminded me of someone who had the exact same nickname as him.

Get them to pay you to cover the cost of the equipment you have, the rent of the speakers and tell them your gonna rock their party! At a informal party beatmatching isn't crucial, just play some great tracks (and cheat by crossfading from one song to another once in a while).

Joel Zimmerman's (Deadmau5) NEW live rig 'The Buchla'
Jaytee replied to CBG's topic in DJ Headquarters
Haha I saw this on his Facebook page this morning He's my idol as well. I was watching him playing around in the studio live on some video site, at least he talks to the fans and chats back. But all that looks pretty techincal -
What site do you use to keep up to date with newest tracks that just have been released and have a good chance to reach the top 40 etc. (Mainstream music that has not gone mainstream) I've found some sites for R&B, that has a list of new top songs each day. With heaps of them reaching the top 10 within half a year - a year.

Something to dream about I haven't seen it been talken about here yet. Must've been ages ago.

These babies are amazing. Check out the video review. Recommended retail price still to be decided in Australia, but expect them to dig a big hole in your pocket. They come out this December 2009. Hopefully the prices of the other CDJ's will drop Comment what you think of them. More info......

Just wondering. Did you actually have proper lessons / tutorials? Did you learn from observing other DJ's? Did you learn from mucking around with the equipment etc. Did you learn from reading books / watching video tutorials? Of course you'll learn from most of those ways, but which one did you mostly learn from? So far I've been going through video tutorials and observing techniques in video mixes and learning a bit here and there on this forum Wazza might show me a few techniques sometime... I hope.

The more I listen to it the better it gets. Can't wait to hear the vocal one. Yes I'm a noob when it comes to mixing

How much do mobile DJ's get paid and more questions?
Jaytee replied to Jaytee's topic in DJ Headquarters
Lucky you replied But I need free training -
Hey. I was saw an ad in a magazine for casual work doing mobile DJ'ing for 'MOBDYDISC'. They were looking for mature minded people to work as DJ's at Weddings and Parties. They supplied training and equipment and guaranteed weekend work. I was interested in applying until I read that I needed a reliable car which I don't have How much do mobile DJ's get paid? What really happens, do you got solo DJing or do you work with another peson at a party etc? But I'm also guessing that their target age bracket will be 25-35.

Thanks for all the replies. I taught myself how to mix by observing others and watching video tutorials, still learning at the moment. This is a great help. Great reply by CBG. I know that most electronic music has 4 beats to a bar and 4 bars to a section or something like that.

Haha I'm still learning the structure of dance songs. This one I just messed around with, still in progress. Did a quick mix to see what it would sound like. What do you mean by breakdowns? Yes New age music / Ambience nails it straight on. I tried use music to create an artpiece, to create an relaxing atmosphere instead of the pounding techno I usually listen.

What genre would you call soft electronic music?

Check out my mix in progress here. http://www.ausdjforums.com/modules.php? ... pic&t=1376 -
Hey guys. This is a track I've been working on (mix). Have a listen here: Childrens Dream Flight (Jaytee Mix) by user1831214 Comment what you think! ---------------- Some errors I picked up: Intro beat should slowly increase in volume or should I start off with a bang? Intro piano should slowly fade in. Remove the buzzing noise (solved). Let the piano be the dominant tune. Remove cheesy effects of flanger or lessen noticeability. I think I had the piano party on echo / or had it too slow coming up with the shaky noise.
