from what i read i would do one of 2 things for a pioneer set up 2x900s and a 700 mixer or cheaper 2x900s/1000's and a 700 mixer second hand you can get good deals on gear atm cause of tax time
theres no need to light the whole venue just the dance floor man, mabey through some chaser up high to track the rear of the room but concentrate on the dancefloor. you want people to pack together not spread out
agree with all the comments mobile djing is basicly tthe clients choosing you over a jukebox because they cant break you so to speak or mabey just to seem hip I think that in night clubs you have to impress the bar staff/ security more then the crowd they are the ones giving direct feed back to the people in charge

i finally splashed some cash and bought a Numark ttx its the same torque as a 1200 and it has feature coming out its rear end on sale at store dj for 500 bux highly recommend it
yer ive done a course there before and there one on one consisted of the instructor showing you what to do then sitting in the corner on hes phone for the night
i bought a pair of these bad boys for $200 today from the audio technica store at pit street mall sydney. they retail at djware house and store dj for 250 so a bit of a bargin very nice box comes with 2 different cords and a carry case well worth the investment
