very hard question mate google would be your best friend in regards to searching for accapellas
-
mate if it all goes ahead get a piece of cardboard and write "ausdjforums" on it and throw it under your decks, if the copers and tv crews show up whip it out and flash the fucker round tv exposure for the forums and i bet half a million curious teenagers would google it

id say 9 outa 1 venues are running the cdj2000 now mainly because its free for them to upgrade as most venues will have the equipment on either a rental plan ora deal through there audio gurus if you replace the term "industry standard" with "what people prefer to use" the answer is still the same

hey man i been using serato for around 3 years now firstly the dicers changed the game i use them on my TT's but also on my cdjs as they are just as effective and really add to your performance i think the key problem with using serato on cdjs are the loss of the loop buttons and waveform display, however these are more then made up for with both the dicer and wave display on the serato software as well as the available 5 cue points to answer your questions more directly you CAN use serato and at the same time have your cdjs still operate as normal by using a midi cable from the back of the unit into your laptop. it is a pain in the arse to set up in the club and with the addition of dicers to your set up will pretty much erase the need to do this the wave form display does diapear however you still have the track length timer to let you know where your cd is at looping can be done either via keyboard mouse or controler ie dicer cueing only works internal and relative as absolute mode which is the only mode you would want to use with cdjs if anything serato turns your cdj into more of a TT but compensates with the featues that the srato software provides i could go on for days

2 things spring to mind 1- find a friend or friend of a friend that is an active dj and tag along with them sort of like an apprenticeship 2- hammer every birthday party invite and notification on facebook and offer to dj for free to get some experience(they usually end up giving you money by the end of the night) this will get you tons of experience and build a following

yer thats what i had a think about, i came to the conclusion that possible if you are using abelton you can be in the live catergory, thats the only thing i could think of that kink the artists
-
tomy i think a majority of people who vote dont really know the difference between a dj and producer

In my search to achieve scratching glory i purchased this DVD and the SuperSeal from my local record store. http://www.recordstore.com.au/ I cannot recommend this enough. In 2 weeks ive gone from only being able to perform a baby scratch and now im confident in tearing, transforming, flaring and so on Its set in a format where you follow what qbert does he shows you the scratch then you try and copy it The when you are ready there are several different battle sessions you can vs the djs as they play to put into practice what you have learned If anyone out there is interested in learning to scratch at any level i highly suggest this package as it has left me with no more questions, it answers anything and everything here is a link to check it out

any licensed venue in nsw by law has to have an area for person undr 18 its part of the liqour act also all venues have common atreas that allow under 18 y/o to be in the company of an responsable adult so the clases would be fine as long as they were during the day/ afternoon
-
Nice i know i can get a venue no dramas i just dont wanna hook it up and no one turns up... i loose street cred na mean

when im in the zone i like to throw 15-30 seconds of tracks in to other tracks on the fly before mixing in a new track so the total count can be way huge but i try to just play the meat of the song or the hook especialy in party mode to keep every ones attention
