hey guys i wanna get into production i have zero experience and all i wanna do atm is edit tracks like insert differnt kicks and vocals and chop the track up and so on, can any one suggest a program that would be good for a beginner i wanna be making fidget or techhouse sorta stuff cheers

i think that maybey we arnt doing atm as our primarly source of income but more of a hobby, and if it is your primary the only way youll get so many gigs is by taking the boring work, but im with johnnyb if im not gunna play gigs that im not going to put my full creativity to work why should i get payed to mix wedding songs when a 4 year old or a jukebox can do the same thing the atmosphere in a club can change in a second thats where the action is

IMO if i got a track thats 128 and for example 130 wat il do is mix the 130bpm in at 128 and either raise the temo around each bar slowly or keep the second track @128 until the break where youu can speed it back up to 130 alternatively you can wait for a break in the 128bpm track and raise it to the nexts track bpm but im pretty sure it would fuck with the key and flow of the music

my advice is that if you wanna be a house dj only play gigs that want house, if you wanna only be a club dj only play at clubs, but also practice your arse off in your bedroom so that you have enuff skill to make it through your set cause it only takes one trainwreck in a club to give you a bad name
