Got the DN-X1600 working in about an hour. All goooooood
-
Yeah the DJM-T1? Almost bought one refurbished off the Pio website but there hasn't been one up there for ages and blah blah. Kind of like the idea of a 4 channel as I'd like to get some CDJs in the future and I got the 4 year warranty with the DN-X1600 (just put down a deposit, getting it tomorrow!) so I hope to keep it for a while. Thanks for the advice though gang

Played my first club set last night! Was at Basement 279, rock up with my crew of roughly 12-15 people and it's deaaad, we probably made up a quarter of the people. Went to check out gear which I had done previously and realised that they don't in fact have a serato box... Looks like I'm playing my first gig using CDJs for the first time! It was a vs. set with Glass Mirrors, ended up playing 3-4 tracks each and alternating. My only real screw up was playing the same song twice accidentally I was so nervous! Managed to mix in a new track quickly and without disaster. Overall, was mad fun and just put down a deposit on a DN-X1600 to celebrate (picking it up tomorrow, so excited ).

Yeah I'm fairly sure I'm just going to get the 1600. Went in to both DJ Warehouse and Store DJ to look at em. The DJM 850 is dope and club standard and what not but pricey as while the 1600 feels like ridiculous good value and I love some of the funky midi capabilities.

Made me wanna rush to Ikea and buy all the organising fancy bits

Yo, Looking for a traktor certified mixer and would far prefer to get one 2nd hand rather than new but having a tough time finding em. Would be amazing if anyone knows anyone with a Denon DN-X1600 for sale. Would also highly consider a DJM T1 or 850+ Thanks!

So the 1210 and the hc1000s are included in the original sale price of 1150 with the mixer and SL3 box?

God daym Anditz and Sol. Jellyyyyyyy

On vinyl!! I already have the digital copy which has double the tracks at half the price but this compilation was one of the first forays into techno and so is kinda sentimental. Saw it in a book shop and had to get it!

Some niiiiiice buys on this page

I would definitely be down to mix live and plan on doing so as soon as I can set up my decks somewhere where I can get internet. ( They're currently in the shed).

Where abouts do you work? Both Survivor and Brown Alley are claiming they're the official after party. I'll be at Survivor after stereo I believe. Gesaffelstein hynnnnnngh

Russell, maybe they do! Gremm1s, I'm aware but even with the earcup rotated it's still not very feasible for shoulder monitering. All good though, dat sound quality and isolation outweighs everything else.
-
Hahahahaaha dat jingle is hilarious overit
-
Mine too!!! Sound quality is awesome. Mostly comfy except I don't like how tight they are when hanging around your neck/pushing them up to your ear with your shoulder is basically impossible Edit: Further usages dictates that they sit awesome on your head they're just not a good neck hang headphone. Probably a good thing, make you ride dat pitch.Going to change to the velour pads as well, dope that they come free with the adidas version!
-
So sick. Put both those monitors up on the shelf though Get dat symmetry
-
I am all over diz post-exams. Edit: Need to get internet out to shed somehow but other than that, yes.
-
Well.. Just bought a pair of the Adidas HD-25's so I guess that's my most recent purchase!! A few weeks ago however I did get these bad boys..
-
The split band, exposed cables, small ear cups and all is just different to basically all the other DJ-focused headphones around that price. I'm thinking I'll just get em, they've gotta be that loved for a reason.
-
I probably prefer an over-ear design however my biggest priority is sound isolation. My problem with my current headphones is that I really have to crank em to cue. Seems as though despite being on-ear the hd25's have the best isolation and performance at lower volumes so it looks like they're a go. Im sure I'll deal with the strange design..
-
Toss up between the 25's for $200 or the Xone XD:53's for $230 new on ebay. I would go straight for the 25's but they just have such a strange build that it's hard without trying them. I like the more traditional style of the 53's I guess.
-
Yeah I'm really surprised at that Dicksmith price. Might get a pair, been needing headphones... Only problem is I've never tried em... No time to at the moment because of exams, worried they'll sell out at that price though!!
