Maybe if people actually replied to posts rather than being lurkers. I haven't had much time to do anything of recent, but have made an effort to post some content. Of which plenty of people have looked at the posts, but not commented. This seems to be a common thing all over the forum which is sad. Maybe if we all make an effort to reply to what we view we will change the culture of the forum?

Here is a new track I was working on last night. I was was working on a 16 bar melody and this is what I came up with.

Nice man, this track has the basis of a really nice liquid groove. My issues technically with the production... 1. The bass is droning hard and over powering against your other layers. Lower the level and or compression on it more. I have listened to this on my Sennheiser HD 25s, Tannoy Reveal monitors and my gaming headset, which are all set with flat EQs and it was apparent on all. 2. The kick needs to come a tad more forward in your design. This will happen when you fix step 1. 3. That nice mellow stab you have there in the intro, I feel that it needs to bounce a little more with a tad more delay time. Other than that, you have the workings of a pretty chill track there mate.

And so it begins. But, what are the alternatives to SoundCloud?

Hi there all. If you are upgrading your PC hardware and getting on board with higher resolution displays you will encounter an issue with your DPI settings and possibly blurry text within Ableton. What I run hardware wise is: Windows 10, i7 4790K, 16GB RAM, GTX-960 4GB, 5 x 240GB SSD and a 40" 4K LG panel. The issue I was having was while creating automation in the Arrangement View, my mouse would move sporadically making it impossible to plot anything accurately. This was only present after I upgraded from a 1080p display to my now 4K display. This issue is for Windows 8 through to Windows 10 and generally happens when the Windows Zoom settings are different from 100% The other issue that could present itself is that Ableton Live's GUI appears blurry or out-of-focus. I didn't have this issue however, but the fix below fixes both issues. The solution is pretty simple: Locate the application "C:\ProgramData\Ableton\Live 9 Suite\Program" Right click on the Ableton Live program and select properties Click the compatibility tab Check the box 'Disable display scaling on high DPI settings' Click apply and OK. Hope this helps for those wanting to upgrade to higher resolution displays.

Not a bad track there mate, I found the vocals rather annoying personally. But the rest of the track had some great sounds and textures going on.
