  1. I've always just jumped straight into sampler because of it's name... Never got too deep into what you can do with them though. Defs going to play around with simpler this weekend
  2. Yeah I had a look when I got home.. In simpler you can move notes up/down midi roll without changing timing! But not in sampler that I can find..
  3. Holy shit man, thank you! I have never noticed the warp setting down there before haha. I often wander how to get the timing right on samples but I am obviously blind! Yeah I'm on 9, I'll give it a go when I get home.. Cheers heaps +1
  4. Yeah I've done that before too but it sounds too robotic or something.. I'm trying to get it to work on the midi piano roll through sampler..
  5. Does anyone know how to change pitch on Sampler without effecting the timing? I heard there was an update in Live 9.5 with the ability to move notes in the Sampler up and down octaves without it speeding up or slowing down. I have used AUPitch from apple but it's not very practical..
  6. Welcome man
  7. Will Smith!! They forgot Will Smithhh....
  8. Nothing better than happy accidents haha
  9. Cool track man! Where did you get the vocals? Those are decenttt. Good shit
  10. I've just started fiddling around with stereo image on the last few mixes I've done.. Definitely adding depth hay! Yeah haven't actually used the reverse yet but I'm sure I will at some point.. Can never have too many plugs up your sleeve!
  11. 2 more little gems for free on PluginBoutique... I should get royalties for all my advertising lately! http://www.pluginboutique.com/product/2-Effects/27-Stereo-Width/3044-MSW1 - Stereo enhancer.. Pretty cool for individual tracks, not so much the master from what I've seen.. http://www.pluginboutique.com/product/2-Effects/49-Echo/2393-Reverser-Snapin - Reverse reverb.. pretty much makes your sounds flip and suck back into themselves type of thing, seems pretty legit! Enjoy
  12. http://imgur.com/a/4xzla It's pretty cool, especially as it is so cheap.. It has LFO Modulation for Amp, Pitch and Filter, a few built in effects and a fair amount of really pro orchestral sounds.. Very warm and organic! Give it a shot for sure
  13. Thanks man really appreciate the feedback.. Yeah I guess maybe electro? Lately I have been trying to produce without a specific genre in mind as opposed to just wanting to make bangers like I did previously haha. Yeah definitely repetitive, I realised when I listened to it again the other day.. Thanks for the tips
  14. Yeah on a mac, I figured out the screen shot just struggling with upload.. ok I'll try again when I get home! Not that the shots are too exciting
  15. Trying post screen shot but I can't figure out how! Any tips?
  16. Awesome thanks man
  17. It goes until the 1st or 2nd I think.. Plus xpand!2 is on sale again, just a multisample synth, I have it and it's ok.. If you have sampler or a decent synth it's not really that exciting..
  18. No worries man!
  19. I reckon ay! I've never tried a "virtual instrument" pack type thing.. Not sure exactly how it will work but I'll let you know when I give it a shot
  20. PluginBoutique has a sale for this Strings Virtual Instrument.. Only $1US.. Picked up Xpand!2 for the same price a while back and I think that it is on sale again too.. Strings has over 9gb of sounds to be played - I downloaded last night, will be giving it a go when I'm not stuck at work.. http://www.pluginboutique.com/product/1-Instruments/64-Virtual-Instrument/1845-Orchestral-Companion-Strings It's always good to get some extra sounds for $1.50 or so!
  21. Thought I'd share this one from a little while back. Been working on a lot more since then that are a bit different to the house type of vibe I have on this, but my music seems to be forever changing! Hope you enjoy - any feedback is always welcome!
  22. I started a 100 point download month yesterday.. I used about 20 (1 download each).. It's good if you're looking for some new drum one shots and a few cool vocal bits but nothing too substantial especially vocally.. I love grabbing random sounds and putting them through sampler or drum rack so it's been suiting me so far. Did get most of a song down yesterday and got a little vocal flavour for something else I've been working on.. So far so good but I don't think it will be worth paying every month
  23. Nice work man, very cool concept.. I love the ambient style you have going!
  24. Welcome man!
  25. I'm going to try it for a month to see how many samples I would I actually use.. Always looking for vocals etc. I bought a NY rap pack and it's all shit.. I'm not too big on profanity for no reason and booty shaking chants so it was a waste of money. Hopefully be able to select a few handpicked gold samples but I'll let yous know.. But I'll be giving Serum a go for sure!
