Bristles

I have to mix a song about 10 times at least to get the right levels, normally effects and eq and all that are pretty right after 1st or 2nd go but more the volume balance between different tracks. Anyone else struggle/or do you have some sort of life changing pro tip for me? ps I know I'll get better etc etc but surely you have a tactic you mix with you can share??

Ah true, I was wondering how live playing would work with mixing. Yeah I keep it free from dodgy sites, torrents etc. I got it pretty especially for ableton and production.. Bit off the first topic but is there much difference to rekordbox or serato starting out?

Right well that makes sense.. Is there much budget pioneer stuff that will make a good starter or crossover to professional stuff? Would 2012 MacBook Pro with I think 2.9ghz do the trick? How legit of a laptop are talking?

Alright so here is what I'm thinking.. I have always just produced, but lately my music is feeling a bit better and on the hopes I get somewhere with it I'll need to able to perform live (der). I used to have a Hercules (I think) DJ controller but had to sell it when we moved back from Canada. I'm thinking I will get something like this - https://www.storedj.com.au/hercules-p32-dj-controller-w-32-perfomance-pads that way I can DJizzle or play live shit a bit easier. But my main question is do I really need to do the CDJ thang or can I get away with a USB controller? Will it limit me in clubs etc?

Yeah next time I'm gonna fork out for a better pack.. I think I've been trying the cheap shit and it's not paying off

So I have bought numerous sample packs looking for some decent original acapellas, searched all sorts of sites but nothing I find has any depth at all. Personally I try to avoid unnecessary swearing or degrading/booty shaking hooks etc. If anyone has any ideas or has bought a pack/knows a vocalist that's has bit more meaning to them let me know!
