We have had a large amount of sound/lighting technical gear stolen from our storage shed in Sale, Victoria in the last 3 weeks while we were in WA – the padlock was cut off and our stuff taken. Can people please keep an eye out for: 2x Yamaha sw 500 powered subs 2x Yamaha br15 2x Yamaha sr15 Yamaha cube amp mixer 4x Martin scx500 scanners 2x ibeat d strobes Various fx lights 3x 1 type 2x storm bird fx lights Martin xciter lighting desk Martin magnum 800 smoke machine Martin xciter If anyone comes across someone selling gear like this or in bulk amounts please let us know!! Or please, if you are buying gear on this list, ask for a purchase receipt from the seller as it may be stolen! The thief is missing the manuals etc to go with this stuff, and also left behind most of the leads and connections. They also left most of the road cases behind, preferring to empty them instead. Some of the gear is in well used condition, other bits bought new and not yet showing large amounts of wear; most of the gear had easily recognised test tags on it (although I would imagine they will be taken off), and it is obviously all highly valued and needed for use next month. It is possible that the thief may try to sell it on in Melbourne or interstate, so recovery will be unlikely. Please keep an eye out for us though!!!
