  1. Although they're a little pricey, check out the QSC K12s. In my opinion, they're perfect for weddings.
  2. I can take the pre-mix output from the top speakers.
  3. Hi all, After a long thought process, I have recently purchased a pair of JBL EON 515XT's over PRX's and QSC K12s. I had been hiring the Eons from Lamba (NSW) for close to 3 years (I could have probably bought 5 pairs with the amount of money I spent hiring) and I found that the Eons did what I needed them to do perfectly. The K12s sounded awesome but I found that they weren't quite loud enough and couldn't be abused as much as the Eons. The K12s were also too expensive for the advantages they posed. With that, I also came to the same conclusion regarding the PRX's. My partner has a Biema power amplifier that can do 1200 watts RMS into 8 ohms bridged, and with that, we plan to power a subwoofer. That brings me to my question... We want to purchase an 18" passive subwoofer that can produce nice deep/low bass. The subs we have been looking at are the following: - Wharfedale Pro Delta 18" Passive Subwoofer 800w RMS. - JBL JRX218S (350-700w RMS) I was wondering if anyone on here has had any experience with either of the subwoofers... Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks.
  4. Here are some more photos from some gigs. The one with the vinyl setup is from years ago... I hired all the gear from Lamba in Strathfield, NSW. The QSC's in the other pics are a mate of mines, awesome speakers but I found that they aren't loud enough. Good for house parties though! You may also notice the booth I built in one of the photos (sorry, I don't know in what order the photos will be uploaded, still a noob at this whole forum thing.) I built that years ago out of PVC piping, use it mainly for weddings and classy 21st birthdays. Also, sorry for the crappy picture quality, these are all old photos taken from my phone.
  5. Do I scratch? Very poorly I've been trying to learn how to scratch for last few months now... and only recently do I think I've actually gained some skill in it. Would love to have a go on real vinyl one day... Plan is to save up enough money to purchase serato + a pair of PLX 1000 in the future. Here are a couple of photos from my gig on saturday night. I usually have stands for the speakers but I thought they'd be too high on stands inside the tent. I'm using a pair RCF Art 315's here.
  6. Hi all! Thanks for the warm welcome. Will post up responses to questions and photos of setup as soon as I get the photos on my computer. Cheers.
  7. Hi all, My name is Vinny and I'm a mobile DJ based in Sydney, NSW. I've been a mobile DJ for about 5 years now and have slowly acquired some gear. I currently use a Pioneer DDJ-SX with JBL Eon 515XT's. For lighting, I just go to my local DJ shop and hire whatever they have available. I love to play old school RNB and Hiphop/Rap but will play whatever genre the client desires. Looking forward to networking with other DJs and sound guys on this forum. Cheers.
