  1. hehe, that's very true indeed. i've made a point not to use SYNC, but at times it's helpful - in case of emergency, break glass
  2. you analyse all your songs and organise it order of BPM? it just makes beatmatching SOOOOO much easier i'm a straight beginner, so it makes sense to me...
  3. what's your budget? i bought the hd8 - awesome quality, quite comfortable as well, and the best thing is OVER-EAR configuration vs ON-EAR. isoloation is great as well. not sure how they stack up against the hd25 (which is a classic!) in terms of isolation.
  4. that's what i was thinking. buy it now was 1500, auction starting at 1100 - i can almost guarantee it'll go above 1500.
  5. interesting discussion on the djworx link further up (see comments section) - pioneer trying to corner the market a little by dropping a premium product, matching it up with their mixers etc.
  6. damn, you do not know how much time kid(s) take up!!! no more me-time... until you're old, and then you have arthritis in the hands, so it's all over
  7. hey, anyone have these speakers? what do you think? thanks sk
  8. he's gunning for the rane 62 i think (built in sound card, just add serato dj software)
  9. knowing pioneer it's built to be upgraded in a years time as they say "this!" ps. any idea about cost? i suppose technics is cheap given the longevity/durability. $1000 divided by 30 years... not bad. - edit - got the price estimated RRP of 600 GBP - so approx 1200 AUD? http://djworx.com/pioneer-plx-1000-turn ... 8hlVfmSwnU
  10. i wonder if it's built to last like the technics...
  11. Looks good. I'd get that... Better find some reviews
  12. http://djworx.com/ortofon-serato-s-120- ... 8cuRvmSwnU http://www.djtechtools.com/2010/05/19/c ... omparison/ check the last link - control needle shoot-out. good information, good standard of comparison. s120 cost is higher, slightly better (apparently), but the m44-7 is a close 2nd.
  13. http://serato.com/latest/blog/14925/the ... erato-gold i'd personally go for these. hmm, 420 released world wide? of course i'd do it just to sell them on check out the availability at https://www.storedj.com.au/category/DJ- ... code-Vinyl hmm, decisions decisions
  14. looks NICE. bit pimpy though haha
  15. i've been reading about various serato control vinyls (namely limited editions). the one thread that keeps coming up as incredibly valuable, is the GOLD control vinyls. i believe they were limited release vinyls that were out in 2012? apparently they go for about 150-300 USD on ebay. just wondering if these are control vinyls that come with special products, or you can purchase these separately much like the ones on serato store (online). any takers on what the next high value vinyl will be? i want to get into this investment game heheh. thanks sk
  16. STEAL! nicely done.
  17. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2x-Technics- ... 258&_uhb=1 located in QLD (1 hr away from brisbane). seller has no seller feedback though, but appears to be a pretty genuine listing. having said this, lots of technics on sale on ebay at present.
  18. Great. You guys are helpful as always. Thanks again
  19. the concords are nice indeed
  20. tara labs is definitely very hifi - and yes, very expensive. can anyone shed light on this however, the technics come with hardwired RCA cables, so what's the point in marketing RCA cables for DJs? unless you use it between mixer etc? reason i'm asking, is because i ended up gettging the stanton 150 (yes, i know, blasphemy) which actually has removable RCAs... so it could be used with these TTs...

  22. wait, serato would recommend them OVER their own brand?
  23. thanks for the input!
  24. hey, just wanted to know if anyone had these? hype real or not? i've done a bit of reading on the subject and the USB cables are well built, but probably not worth it. how about the RCA cables? again, they look good, but any point if you have technics and say, a rane 62? RCAs are attached to the technics, they go straight into the mixer, and mixer only has a USB to the laptop, right? thanks sk
  25. hey anyone have these carts? what's the verdict, they have pretty good reviews. wondering if anyone has tried them coupled with the performance serato control vinyl? thanks sk
