  2. First Deep House Mix I've recorded, feedback / constructive criticism appreciated! Follow me if you like what you hear! Cheers https://soundcloud.com/aidan-mavin/deep-house
  3. Haven't been doing this for too long and finally got my head around mixing my favourite genre, deep dubstep. I just chose a few songs and improvised as I went along because I wanted to upload something. Tell me what you think, any feedback appreciated! Cheers
  4. I'm still a beginner at this but I decided to have a crack at a dj comp just for the experience of playing in a club, which I'd never done before. This is the set I came up with! Its not very technical for a dj comp but it was all for the fun of it. Some of the songs are pretty overused but I was playing for the crowd. Any feedback appreciated Cheers!
  5. Yea it wasn't really ment to be kept to one genre I just put a general label on it. Yea I noticed sometimes it got a little bit overwhelming, might need to plan my mixing points a bit better? Its pretty much like an open decks kind of thing, I've used club standard cdj's before and got a general feel of them, going to have some practice on a mates before I take it to a club. Thanks for your help man Not too bad, you have the right idea and the mixing is clean (no double beats) things i would do a bit differently is tighten up the mix points, dont let the end of the previous track play out to the point where you dont really have a bassline, just claps and snares etc. from the intro and outtro of each song being mixed together is something to avoid if you can. some of the transitions were a little dry aswell, try filtering out the previous song before the break of the next song.. make full use of post fader fx if you can aswell Thanks man I see what you mean, thanks for you're help
  6. This is the first mix I've ever made. I was planning on sending it to a dj who wants to see a mix before he lets me play at the nightclub he's a resident of. Only used a numark mixtrack pro and virtual dj (I know this will be criticised) because I havent got traktor running yet and I'm saving up for new decks. It's probably dodgy but I just need feedback no matter how harsh, so I can improve on it. Cheers https://soundcloud.com/aidan-mavin/minimix
