  1. Hi, What is the safest way to get music say off my phone (3/8th inch stereo out) directly into my active speaker (xlr)? So I can say play background music in another room etc.. Here is the back of my speaker http://medias.audiofanzine.com/images/n ... 418076.jpg Thanks,
  2. and here they are.. with the Makie's still in the background..lol
  3. Thanks Cupe. In any case they are sold for $800. Bought a pair of perfect condition RCF Art 325A's for 1350. So all went well. My quick review of the Thumps. Great value for someone starting out. Absolutely addictive bass, even more so than these RCF's. But it is overblown bass, not hard to turn it down a little with eq. A little harsh on the top end. What happened was I saw these RCF's advertised the day I got the Thumps. Always wanted RCF's but just so expensive. These are rare as Hen's teeth so just had to grab them, especially as they are like new, no scratches etc. Prob evened out on losses as I got the RCF's for 150 less than advertised and lost 150 on the thumps. Was very lucky. I'm happy, I now have some quality RCF's that won't let me down and are capable of most gigs if I need smaller speakers or have stairs etc. Will still use my Wharfdale towers with twin 18in driver as the bass and sound even today is quite good. But I now have a second active set of speakers if ever needed. The end.
  4. Whilst on the subject of these speakers does anyone know how they get so much bass out of them? I read that they have some type of dynamic digital eq? Is that possible? Reason I ask is that they seem to have good bass even at low levels. They are the fattest small speaker I have every heard. I am a bass freak and it is more than enough bass for me.
  5. Once sold I will also put the sold price here so people know what they went for.
  6. ps sorry I think this post is in wrong section. Feel free to move
  7. I have had an offer and will decide tonight.
  8. IMO I would grab those RCF's quick smart. They are a great speaker with an awesome reputation in the industry. Reliable, excellent sound, quality build and will last forever. And loud but quality loud. :-) Nuf said.
  9. If anyone here is interested. Found some other speakers at the right price so have changed my mind. They have not left the lounge-room and were bought 4 days ago. These sound excellent with great bass. Leave them on the floor and no subby needed IMHO.. anyway.. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/oak-park ... 1096371030 Also includes free STANTON RM3 MIXER.
  10. and it aint dead yet... http://winampforum.com/showthread.php?tid=278
  11. true. it could last for a long time as is. but it would be better if it was actively updated and new features added etc. plus it would be kept in the spotlight. if it is not taken up by someone it will just disappear in 3 or 4 yrs and be just another lost software
  12. For what it's worth we have a petition here. Give it a go. It can't hurt. Appreciated. http://www.change.org/en-AU/petitions/save-winamp And we have started a new forum here re Winamp. http://winampforum.com/ It ain't dead just yet. And I have used it from the start and dj with it today. :-)
