  1. Not a lot happening in this forum! Is Canberra that bad for EDM?
  2. They're just bricks from around the house
  3. Dubstep is her favourite band.... fuuaaarrr lol
  4. Hey mate nice choons I don't quite know what you mean about "the most common way" or the "best" way; every track is different and will have different requirements depending on the other track you are mixing in and what feel you want for your mix. But you seem to be getting the phrases to match well.. I think it's just a matter of what kind of energy you want... If you go through the buildup, breakdown, outro for every track it can get a bit tiresome for listeners though, imo. Hope this helps, Happy mixing
  5. Some sweet ass setups there people! This is what I have so far.. it's not much.. That wooden shelf thing is removable, as you can see. I built it a couple days ago so that I could use my computer normally.
  6. since when do DJ's need to line up at the bar? When they're not DJing
  7. If you can find some way to get extrinsic motivation it will help a lot (rather than trying to motivate yourself). For example, you could make a commitment to your friend that you will give them $5 if you don't make a mix by x date. Use the fear of loss to your advantage.
  8. Do it this way: one of you goes and lines up at the bar while the other drops as many tunes as it takes for him to get back. Swap and repeat.
  9. Thanks for the eye opening post russell. It's interesting to know that all he needs are just these few things
  10. Oh?
  11. Nice looking site. Nice colours.
  12. Yo Boss your tracks are cool but I would avoid mixing two melodies over the top of each other, for example at 4:27. It's too easy for them to clash if not done to perfection. Happy mixing
  13. Great post, thanks Mitch. This will definitely save some time searching.
  14. Haha thanks for the warm welcome and all the franger hats
