Ive got the american audio htd4.5 turntables working with serato SL3 and they work a treat, but you will need some decent slipmatts cause the motor is quite strong, Ive just sold my vestax PDX2000's and they were great and ive had technic 1200s as well , All of these decks are great just look for a bargain and grab it

the both do the same job which is to play digital music files , so the only real queston is do you like the traktor or serato layout?

dont use BPM counters as they can always dirft

SL3 = the sl3 soundscard not the SL1 soundcard, higher quailty soundcard ,more ins & outs, can record dj sets in serato its good

there is a book called "how to dj properly" by bill and frank its is by far the best read and you will learn lots the book is a few years on now but still very true to this day hunt it down
