I own a pair of these and got them for $700 a deck. They work awesome with serato
-
Serato is easy, the hardest part is library management , The best advice I got was to not use Itunes to control your music and make genre folder for your music and mirror those with serato crate. and find the denon controller http://www.denondj.com/DN-HC1000S-P121.aspx I got mine of Basskelph second hand for $100

Have fun Wazza, thats where I used to play for him , Its a easy gig just have enough tunes to play across the board , If I was in brisneyland I would have a few beers with ya , PM me if you need any Info

I know this guy and he is a good man, some one jump on this if you are a multi genre dj who can read crowds well.

Nice! -
so a quick question can you use the NS6 with 4 channels with itch and then switch to using turntables and CDJs and is it easy to do switch over??
-
Wow what a niffty controller
-
looks nice good satisfaction making it yourself, big high five
-
do whatever works for you mate , there are many ways to make the most of the bridge , having fun is the most important part
-
I use it but I think an Apc40 is much needed to get the most out of the bridge, Im gonna buy one soon, as for working the bridge its like having The Sp6 with more control and EFX, I use loops and samples to add to the dj mix via the bridge, its a lot of fun if you have setup things correct (beatgrids)

-
looks good the mixer covers all the bases
-
No worries holla at me when you have time
-
you can do it that way, Just another way of looking at it I use smart crates, where you have blue crates instead of brown. with smart crates you can set rules for the crates so that only certain music goes in these crates based on the information on the ID3 tag , for example I have these smart crates made up Deep house Disco house Electro house Funky house Hard house and I have set up the rules on each smart crate to only accept these genres into these crates, and my genre folders in SSL music mirror these crates based on ID3 tag information , DO NOT USE ITUNES to control you SSL music, So if it all goes wrong you can easy fix it back up and get running again without any dramas and trying to find lost music, If you want some more info PM me Cheers

I use this all the time and it works a treat such a great easy way to record

an interesting read, http://www.digitaldjtips.com/2010/11/te ... #more-3075

Ive got a pair as I picked them up from a pawn shop in syd for $500 a pair, Ive own technics 1200s and vestax PDX2000 as well before, so with the torque its got 4.5 kg which is alot so its good for DVS djing as it has an almost instant start, great for scratching, the light , RCA , Ground wire, and power cord are all replaceable , smooth pitch control , In fact Fu@k it im gonna say it these decks kick arse, BUY THEM, the only down side is when you go back to playing on technics you feel like you are driving an ol datsun
-
rightio so whats the putty stuff like that holds them down?
-
rightio, a new drum machine called kong and Dr rex can now have 8 rex samples at once , cant be that bad, and cupe use rewire to ableton and have the best of both worlds, still no one has used it yet on ADJF, well I might try and upgrade and get it a go
-
as above anyone?
-
They both do pretty much the same thing just depends on which one you like the look of better, dont get too hung up on the hype of this and that , they are both kick arse DVS which both have - & + going for them, just enjoy the one you choose, just a side note thou library management is key to success for these programs so get your music sortted
