  1. Cool bruv - I'm in moorabbin at the moment.
  2. In Melbourne too - I don't see many scratch posters in this forum yet..
  3. Thought I'd start a thread on this also in case anyone is interested. The Victorian final was just held. Judges voted 3rd Uzi Quattro, 2nd Wallzee and 1st Typhonic. Prior to that the ACT Final was held with 3rd Chemi-Cal, 2nd Skully and 1st Sandman. Here's a vid of the scratch jam we had on the night featuring judging panel, competitors and other turntable legends.
  4. G-Smooth - VIC Winner 2015
  5. Skully - ACT Winner 2015
  6. Must remember to visit ADJF more often! :x

  7. nice one bruv!
  8. Cheers - will post up the DMC when its done. A mate of mine Patty B placed 4th in the state ahead of me. Check it here:
  9. I haven't posted much in here yet however, here's a routine I uploaded a few weeks back. I competed in the DMC Victorian heat this year and didn't podium but I plan to record that routine via YouTube soon In the meantime, enjoy this video and give the channel a like if it's appealing. More content coming over the next few months
  10. Just listening to this now after a producer mate of mine showed me his new shit.. This is much along the same lines. You engineer your own stuff dude?
  11. Cheers bro!
  12. Hey Everyone - Sorry I've had to take it down now by request - It will go back up once the world final is completed. Apologies.. However you can still SUBSCRIBE to my channel and see all the other individual performances.
  13. This years National DMC Final was a dope night - All the the finalists showed a high level turntablism skills, creativity and execution. Includes Morganics and The Master in between sets.. Subscribe to my DJ Elevate YouTube channel HERE
  14. EPs for me from a turntablist perspective.. 12s are actually my favorite at 33 1/3 as they have the wides grooves, best feel for cuts and juggles..
  15. Cool idea - u want to figure out who will handle crowd control and that sort of thing.. If you have plenty of hands, people you can put trust into it's worth all the risk because you'll learn heaps about many of the areas a lot of DJs don't know much about. All the best with your endeavour - will be keen to hear how you go!
  16. This is a track from my crew's forthcoming album, "Still Broke" coming soon. https://soundcloud.com/fatgut-beats/get-rowdy-feat-raven-by-broken Comments welcomed.. Like our page on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/brokenaesthetiks This LP is a follow up to "Broke" which can be found on iTunes and through the http://www.grhymeproductions.com/ site. Enjoy!
  17. This is much harder to do than Z makes it look.
  18. I posted this because the clip features some of THE best Aus Hip Hop artists responsible for not only dope tracks and albums but they helped build and shape the culture of Australian Hip Hop. Right now, we're kinda coming of age I think. There's some artists taking the totally commercial angle and ending up on Nova etc but then you got crews like Clandestein, Dialect and Despair and Mata and Must who stay underground but produce music that would stand up in any hiphop scene in the world. The rest just comes down to personal taste. From Sound Unlimited to Hilltop Australian Hip Hop music has grown heaps and is as legit as any other 'genre' there is. RIPower Hunter - that man did A LOT to influence the whole scene in Australia. Nothing short of a legend. Australian rappers will be talking about him through time as someone who inspired them to make music.
  19. Yep definitely a different thing doing routines with different digital controllers. Nice routine, some solid techniques in there. I've been scratching since '99 and had turntables since '01. Seems this forum doesn't have many members that are dedicated scratch DJs but I'm sure there's still plenty of interest surrounding the art form. Glad I found this board though - will put up examples of what I'm into once I'm set up to do so.
  20. Haha thanks fellow DJs! Ya cool I'll work on the video and post something up.. Not playing out anywhere at the moment but based in Melbourne and looking to get a gig somewhere. I'm not set up to practise at the moment and it sucks! Anyway thanks for the comments.
  21. Old school mixup I did back in 2006.. All comments welcome and stay tuned for some freshness very soon!
  22. Cool nice cuts man.. Been searchin out the turntablists on here. When I get set up I'll post in here. http://www.facebook.com/elevate8 https://soundcloud.com/dj_elev8-1
  23. Q-Bert is the absolute Godfather of scratch. A guru. Was anointed Grandmaster by DST i think around 2005-6. Best DJ to learn from.. He scratches hamster style but you can apply the principles any way you like. Also recommend peeping DJ Revolution.
  24. Go one step better and get a TTM57SL - mix original content videos. That's bawse..
  25. Gave it a like and listen through.. I like the bass sound and while it's not totally my thing I hope you do well. Peace
