  2. LMAO ...sorry to disapojn you sjon but it was the close up of the pitch fader at a steady green-lighting 0: ready for anything baby, ready for anything
  3. bit late on this one but: BIG UP FIEND. nek minut: duo gets MC and writes own songs?
  4. ^indeed this one just delightful: from the funk/soul collection:
  5. If you have the money the front runners are: Numark NS7 Pioneer DDjt-1 Pioneer DDJs-1 NUmark NS6 Denon MC6000 Native Instruments S4 but don't take my word for it: browse these threads on here: viewforum.php?f=8 and this is a great article on current units: http://www.digitaldjtips.com/dj-controllers-guide-2013/
  6. did someone say scottish?
  7. ez
  8. DDJ-SX is an excellent all round controller with all the features you could need. Not really considered entry-level or beginner to be honest but if you can afford it why not. If you got that you probably wouldn't be upgrading for a while.
  9. LOL, prob needs it's own thread but I aint laffin at you fiend.
  10. ok, so I'm from Leeds U.K. while I was living in townsville A.U. I visited Sydney A.U. and bought this album on triple vinyl, made in Bristol, U.K. It's a compilation but in my view the absolute best of the triphop era. While I was still in Aus it reminded me of home and everything I was missing, now I'm back in UK it reminds me of bending bananas full album not available but called : MO Wax - HEadz. buy it, be chill, be happy
  11. ^cheers all doesnt look like that much has changed then: Stanton St150 and Vestax PDX series still leading the field for competitors. With the 1200/1210s being preferred if can find a pair. OR many other options if want to go a bit budget/
  12. LOL eggs, Lube or not do you happen to know if any of the Kyoto techs come ready for UK voltage? And I never even heard of OEM? got any good links or do I have to sift google for myself?
  13. LOL, of course mate. You see the big box dead centre that has a set of CDJs on top of it but not inside it? -The 1210s are in there as a space saving measure only But tonight I have 19 teenagers coming for week 4 of a big project and this week we are all using digital.
  14. last time I was in the market the vestax pdx 2000 was all the buzz. and I know the Technics 1210 and 1200 MKII are discontinued. So what vinyl decks are on the market and considered reasonable for someone who wants to take it serious, can afford to buy pro and insists on vinyl. Cheers all.
  15. ^ all that for one man mitch? I so jelly now. Anyway, this is about ready now, been doing some good work in here and it all looks like growing and ish. Everynow and then I get it to myself too:
  16. shit yes Russel, both of those win.
  17. NI battery always worked for me. Although since ableton suite I use drum rack more. Either works on a matrix arrangement visually so you can see all your sounds/samples and set individual envelopes etc then assign any pad or midi control to trigger that sample. I dont do much since I had to sell my MPC2000 though
  18. and spend alittle time testing various combinations of volumes on your mixtrack adn the amp so you get the loudest possible without distortion. Then turn down a bit so you have room to turn up later on when the volume is really needed.
  19. ^^Says the man who thinks G-unit is hiphop BIG UP RUSSEL, CHEV, CUPE, CHRIS - some major selections in there gentlemen SO many albums to choose from - i'm gonna give this 5 minutes max. and a final sneaky one: a band I was in, full album not on the tube but lots of the songs are, still in my top albums so is not just self-promotion
  20. DRINK: YOU"LL HAVE TO SPEAK UP, I'm A LITTLE DEAF!
  21. one I have collected for my work with da yoof,
  22. She may not know what an XLR or RCA is so just ask her for the make and model of the amp, google an image or manual for it and find out what you need to take for yourself. golden rule - fussy customers get crap service, if it's getting too complicated, let a cowboy do it badly.
  23. if you didnt see the "magic smoke" jarred mentions then you may be lucky: chances are high you only blew an internal fuse. if you are really really lucky the adaptor (if it has one) or any extension cable (if you are using one) may be the thing that has blown a fuse. If it is the DJM 350 then any Pioneer registered or reasonable electronics repair service can replace them easily enough, and should test if anything else went wrong. They should also advise what transformer or adaptor you need to make it work. You could have a go at researching and repairing yourself but I tried a quick google and only found retailers for parts. (lappy is low on batt or would have looked deeper). If you do it yourself you also invalidate your warranty (if is new) but I am aware some of you live miles from suitable repair services so it may be your only option. IMHO you are also correct: It is odd that you got an item shipped to you which wouldn't work at your countries voltage, but now you have learnt (the hard way) to read the manual.
