  1. Finally had a few minutes... and hooked the vid up. I reckon i'm fuckin rusty but thought i'd post and see what you lot thought. not sure what i've done wrong but doesnt look like i've posted the vid correctly? edit: you tube says vid may be blocked in some countries is this why? edit Mitch: fixed youtube link
  2. is this predictions or desires thread? i cant tell... desire: 12" platter that you can fix your own favourite weight of vinyl on to emulate Vinyl DVS. Already done (badly) by the numark TTX but would be such a win if done well. prediction: cheaper components and build quality in general.
  3. yer, i've never seen much issue with load on my Mac, didnt have any when I used to use a Dell PC either. Reckon DJElev8 could use wazza optimise audio thread? I think it used to be here before the boards changed... index.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=5026 Mitch can you give us an up to date link?

  5. nevermind. i thought there wasn't. LE has no midi mapping at all so why would they let you import .tsi? It was just a few other threads on t'interweb had confused me. For the record" Midi Mapping and/or importing previously made midi maps is not available in Traktor LE.
  6. Is it me or is there no way to import previously made .tsi files in Traktor 2.6 LE?

  16. This popped up on shuffle yesterday. Kinda hiphop with that deep south levee blues feel. I love the whole package so thought i'd share, hope it's suitable eggs sir boss sir?
  17. is it? I thought phrasing was lining up musical phrases over several bars... such as taking two basslines that both last 4 bars, then lining them up so they start on the first beat of their phrase together. Whereas arrangement mixing is setting two songs up so a whole break follows a breakdown. So an arrangement mix will only happen if phrasing is correct, but getting phrasing correct will not necessarily = a suitable arrangement mix. Educate me if wrong pls
  18. anyway i came up with this. it's shit but the best I can do...if you can do better tag it on. if anyone wants to use it the tinypic url is pasted below. And yes I am aware that wise forum users could get the link by other means but this pic is not for wise users, it's for amatuers like me that can't do any better http://i46.tinypic.com/34y1ly0.jpg
  19. In detail then: Let's say the song playing is "song 1" and the song you are going to play is "song 2" You have to work out exactly when in song 1 to start playing song 2 so that the drop in song 2 occurs just after some breakdown or change in song 1. It is known as mixing with the "arrangement" where I come from. It takes a bit of practise to find the best point in song1 to start song 2, that is where your individual creativity is applied. This is what makes DJs different to auto players. let us know how you get on and feel free to post more mixes for feedback.
  20. hmmmmm....sumthin wrong with yer links... but anyway: Your transitions will always sound obvious to you because you know exactly what is about to happen. Other DJs transitions will sound more surprising to you because what comes next is always unknown. If I understand what you are trying to achieve (and assuming this isnt a troll thread) then the only advice I can offer is: Choose songs with bigger breaks or drops. Mix them so you know that at the end of the transition you are fading over to the tune about to drop. That way each transition ends in a drop, break or at least a recognisable hook from a song. and as eggs said: post a really bad one for really good advice.
  21. This is not my type of music so maybe I'm missing something but if you were actually mixing two songs together then they sounded reasonably competent to me. Can you explain what you think is wrong with these recordings? Can you explain what you are trying to achieve with your transitions?
  22. [quote="russell" so he shouldn't try and alert them anyway?
  23. diddly done pardnerino
