every thought of starting up an adjf blog? say get a few peo0ple around the forum to contribute, would be great exposure for the blog once we got a decent following, just post a fuckload of stuff about music. post tracks, post events, interviews, mix's through the week have a day dedicated to a genre, e.g dubstep mondays, dutchie tuesdays, electro wednesdays, fidget thursdays, housy fridays, etc etc. the saturday mix, the sunday interview. something like that.

i havnt seen the david guetta one, ill check it out there. there was a hilarious photo going around of justice. they were on stage getting hell into it, but the photo showed that like the mixer was unpllugged or somerthing like that, well thats what people thought. so for a while everyone thought justice were phony's i think it turned out that it was a sampler or something they used to drop in vocal samples, and it was only a breif thing, ill try find the photo

ah ok cool, there was going to be 1 shit thing and 1 good thing about it for me. shit thing, itd probaly boost the prices of second ones rediculously, good thing, same thing i mentioned in my first post. if you were on vinyl, youd be like an OG of djing haha

Mau5 would probaly be the richest out of all them, hed have the highest selling albums, probaly gets paid more then crookers, does more shows, has a record label, the whole deal. hed be fukin rolling in it. yeah free drinks are the bomb actually tbh we arnt on 150, we dont have a flat rate really some times we get 100 an hour, i just said 150 because thats what we got paid for our last gig.

what are your going rates? i know that for we love sounds crookers are getting paid 300k. We are pretty close to that. we are on 150.......not 'k' just 150 haha imagine that 300k to play to a crowd for an hour or two. easy living hey

usb's can go to hell haha. i cant wait to switch from cd's to vinyl. i recon the further away you get from vinyl, the worse. thats just my few. i only wish id started with vinyls.

any of you had a big fuckup onstage?. think our first one happened the weekend just gone. Dan sena from Dim Mak was playing, and hew was emptying the club. so the club had to go to the last resort and take him off stage, they didnt want to but we were losing heaps of customers, andyway we were the only guys there with our gear so he through us on, this is at about 2:30 when the club should be at its most packed. it wasnt a very crowded night but meh. anyway, we were playing, and the club manager/owner/top booker what ever you call him. was with us trying to find a mic for another dj that was supposed to be playing but which thet cancelled(we ended up playing from 2:30 till close....fukin effort haha. anyway while he was looking for it, he pumped the play button and then the cue button simaltniously so it went back to the start of the track and stoped,.....on the cdj that was playing. dead silence is the worst sound ever haha. quickly got it back up though, luckily the crowd was friendly haha.

hey guys. i cant remember the exact convo, was pretty drunk. but was at candy's and im pretty sure i was having a convo with someone about turntables, and i seem to able to recall someone telling me someone bought over technics and they are no longer going to be in production. because the cdj world is taking over or something like that so they arnt making the $$$?.

Logic FTW!(possibly another DAW war is brewing) haha tomy, do you master it yourself? had my first go at mastering at the start of the week, what a headache haha, its way over my head, plan on 'mastering' the art of 'mastering' eventually though

Hey guys, thought it would be fun to post a few productions yuo made when you first started out. Cant do mine right now because im at work, but ill deff post them tonight. its always fun to go back and see how far youve come haha. i remember the first track i made was a 30seconds hardstyles beat haha. mainly because when i first started producing i was only just getting into electronic music as a whole, came straight from metalcore, aussie hxc, and the only FL tuts on youtube at that time were techno and hardstyles.. fucking lol right.

we dont use looping much, we did a little in this mix, e.g the into and a few of the builds, we sometimes hook a 3rd deck up and we will make sample tracks (e.g the pon de flor drum beat/satisfaction vocals etc etc) and just loop that track for 1 or 2 minutes as its own track and play it over what we are mixing just to make it more interesting, we use the effects a little bit, mainly the echo and very rarely the roll.

yeha i know, when i was making it i wasnt really planning on making a dubstep track, the whole thing started with a bassline/ravestep drum beat. as for the bitcrushed being to much i am working on adding diffrent bass patched at the moment, they track is at full length no just working on things liek the stuff you pointed out and what not.
