Where can we listen? Im keen to hear
-
i dont like hiphop for the way it sounds, but rather what they sing about, ESPECIALLY the herd and a fair bit of tzu, i can relate to so many of their tracks its rediculous. i dont listen to them because i like the sounds or flow, but because when i do listen to it, i can match it up to real life situations ive been in, and it just makes it alot more real then all other music, Which is why i hate american hiphop rap.(with the exception os Nas, that guys a fukin genious) where they rap about money bitchs glocks 9mm's drive by's killing niggas, 95% of the guys arnt speaking from any experience at all. just rapping what the public wanna hear so they can blast that shit out of the car systems rolling down the street with a hard arse image. where as aussie hip hop, 95% of the rappers speak from true experiences or which experiences they rap about are real and of which there listners have most likely had similar experiences making the listen more real.

LOL, each to there own i guess

first heard it, loved it, but this mixtape also bought on me to dislike the robostep as well as this i fukin hate drum n bass(most of it) so could never listen to it in full. Never the less its a flawless mix, perfect transitions, he is deffinatly a talented dj as well

oh and Chris, whats up with that radio program you were doing? did it happen?
-
Ok basically im agreeing with you and disagreeing with you. Im Agreeing with the way you got your break, but im disagreeing in the way you shut down many other avenue's of people getting there breaks in the scene, just because certain ways havnt worked out for you, or people you know, dosent mean they wont work for other.s There isnt an certain way to get your break, there isnt a step to step process and certain guidline you must follow, every dj makes his mark a diffrent way, depending on who you know, what genre your looking for, what city/country your in, weather you produce, how good you are, etc. Dont ask people how to do it, go out and just do it, if the first way dosent work out for you , work out a diffrent way.

Anyone got it? would really like it!
-
id say its a big niche mark. alot of people still dont like it. i mean compare it to whats played in wollongong clubs at the moment, it hasnt even got to the music stage sydney clubs were at 2 years ago, the only people bringing good music to wollongong are internationals, e.g the anzac day night at castro's, the proxy night coming next month and hopefully mightfools later this year. and seeing as the majority of sydney is only just starting to accept dubstep(yes i know there has been an underground scene running for a long time) but i mean like dubstep nights are starting at soho(thank john glover and E-cats for this, bastards start it as i leave for the snow). thats why i cant see it happining in wollongong just yet. in saying that, if someone does start it in wollongong, im gonna back it 100%. gotta go home, laters

win for chris im gonna have to submit a mix soon, is there and genre specifications???? -
you will soon learn that yo will make a track, instantly post it adjf before anywhere else to get chev's feedback, then use that feedback to change it up, repeat the process. basically we run our tracks by chev before we send them out hahaha BTW i will have a sneaky listen sometime tonight when i get home, if i manage to pull myself away from skate 3

Fucking lol. You guys know what a pink sock is ??????

i cant work out where to listen? -
yo chris, this is a 2yr old introduction, i brought it back up to ask where all these guys went ahah
-
did you copy the bangers first? haa
-
thats just silly, and wouldnt it be illegal?. a dj making money off of other peoples music, unless the whole mixtape was his own tracks, or if everytime the mix was bought a royalty would go out to each producer who had a track in the set. EDIT: Try Mixcloud. uts like soundcloud, but for mixtaped only. not sure how many of the top dj's have it though.
-
try what chev said, get the track, get the intrumental, invert the instrumentalwaveform and layer it over the oprinal, matching the waveforms, what its supposed to do is cancel out all the intrumental sounds and leave the acapella, not sure how well it works or how to do it, seen video's of it though
-
no worries. If you want any help with it up untill june the 13th i can give you a hand. Getting interviews/mixtapes with some uk house/fidget producer dj's as well of some sydney ones.
-
hey pottymouth forums is not EW. i get to have conversations there with all my favorite fidget, jacking house producers.... of course nothing on this forum though . hence why after finding this place i went from going to pottymouth every arvo, to coming here every day, and visiting there once a fortnight or so.
-
it shouldnt really matter, you can make an effective blog from any bog hosting site. Wordpress isnt too bad i dont think?
-
doubt they would work man, normal nightlife in wollongong sucks, so id say a niche market like dubstep would have no chance. i mean id love to see it happen, im just being honest. keep us posted on what happens here, im moving to the snow but will be back in wollongong on at the end of it, would be cool to come back to some dub nights in wollongong

your missing the point blogs can be a shitload more public then a forum. e.g you post topics on big names, e.g, for the dubstep section, you post the Doctor P Mixtape, who has a big following, and attatched to that you add in some stuff in the bottom about no name producer/dj's, a.g chuck in one of chev's free tracks. people search for his mixtape get linked to our blog, get the mixtape, and chev's track goes along with it. people fucking love free tracks that are high quality.(this scenario would apply to all genre's/sections of the blog) we now have a big following on the blog, people join the forum to talk about the music we posted on the blog, and the people we draw will most likely be producer dj's them self, adding their own material to our forum, to which we can then post on the blog later, this blog wouldnt take posting away from this forum what so ever, if anything it would increase it

i know weve had this convo afew times, i remember when i first joined pretty much the first thing i said in the introduction was make a shoutbox (because id just come straight from the pottymouth forums) haha
